Many members of this community shared a history of migration into Gujarat from the southern Arabian Peninsula, north Africa, Iran, Central Asia and the neighboring territories of the Indian subcontinent. I analyze two key aspects related to the making of a community of ii learned Muslim men in the fifteenth century - the production of a variety of texts in Persian and Arabic by learned Muslims and the construction of tomb shrines sponsored by the sultans of Gujarat. -

Nasrullah Khan at Sialkot. He initiated into Ahmadiyyat, alongwith his parents, at the most blessed hands of the Promised Messiahas in 1904. He was educated primarily at Municipal Board School, and then American Mission High School. Though indisposed, he secured first position in the school in matriculation examination when he was only fourteen years of age. He graduated (in first grade) from Govt. College Lahore in 1911 and was the first Indian student who topped London University in LLB final in 1914. He started his career as a lawyer at Sialkot in 1915. Though young for his age and experience, he was elected as a lecturer at Law College Lahore in 1919. He started his political career with selection as a member in Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1926. He successfully pleaded the cause of Muslims with the Indian Round Table Conference held in London in 1930, 1931 and 1932. -

Reply to Allegation That Maulana Muhammad Ali Earlier Wrote That Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Was a Prophet
From: www.ahmadiyya.org Reply to allegation that Maulana Muhammad Ali earlier wrote that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a prophet by Dr Zahid Aziz1 As a preface, I highlight below certain extracts from quotations which have been discussed later in this article. What Maulana Muhammad Ali wrote himself or quoted from others in The Review of Religions (RoR), regarding the beliefs of the Ahmadiyya Movement about prophethood, is as follows: 1. “the Holy Prophet [Muhammad] was the last of prophets” (RoR, November–December 1903). 2. “This is the Umma which, though not having any prophets (nabi) in it, has those who receive the word of God like prophets” (RoR Urdu edition, April 1904). 3. “what is called nubuwwat (prophethood) in the prophets is designated muhaddasiyyat in him [as in Hazrat Mirza sahib]” (RoR, April 1904). 4. “Prophethood came to an end with him [Prophet Muhammad], not only because he came last of all, but also because the excellences of prophet- hood reached their climax in his holy person.” (RoR, November 1904) 5. “Therefore all prophethoods end with the prophethood of the Holy Prophet [Muhammad], and so it ought to have been, for that which has a beginning has also an end.” (RoR, January 1906) 6. “After the Holy Prophet Muhammad, God has closed the doors to all prophethood and messengership. Most Ahmadis believed in the prophethood of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, a nineteenth century religious reformer from the Punjab. Many had come to see this belief as an affront to Muhammad’s status as khatm-i-nubuwwat or seal of the prophets, which is predominantly, although not universally, interpreted to mean that Muhammad was God’s last prophet.1 With the passage of the Second Amendment, this predominant interpretation was enshrined in the constitution. In his speech on that day, Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto insisted, “This is a religious issue. It is a decision affecting our faith and it is a decision of the whole House, of the entire nation.”2 His statement was a mischaracterization on two counts. The issue of khatm-i-nubuwwat was not “purely religious.”3 Nor was the amendment simply a result of formal political process in the National Assembly. In fact, Bhutto had been strong-armed into passing the amendment by the anti-Ahmadi movement. -
Anti-Ahmadism in India Indians, Muslims and Non-Muslims Alike
Anti-Ahmadism in India Indians, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, must learn from the sectarian developments in Pakistan, and make every effort to stop any expression of sectarian prejudice in public contexts. A few days back a small headline in the Urdu daily Munsif (Hyderabad) caught my eye: “The Worst Attempt at the State Level to Declare the Qadianis Muslim.” The text went on to report on what the dignitaries of an organization called Majlis-i- Khatm-i-Nabuwwat Trust, Andhra Pradesh had said in the way of denouncing the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh. However, only one sentence in the report running to 18 lines communicated any sense of what the alleged “attempt and conspiracy” was: “In the textbooks for high schools the Qadiani sect has been included in the account of the many sects among the Muslims.” Then I received a mailing that brought to my attention a long note by Sultan Shahin entitled “Muslim Juhala threaten Mayawati government over Ahmadiya issue.” (http://www.newageislam.com/NewAgeIslamArticleDetail.aspx?ArticleID=3351) It included the full text of an item published in Hamara Samaj (New Delhi; 25 August 2010) that provided the information I needed: It is to be noted that on page 30 of Samajik Vigyan of Class X, in the chapter titled “Ahamdiyya Andolan”, the sect has been linked to Muslims terming it as a reformist sect. Not only that, on page 29, in the essay titled “Muslim Andolan” an attempt has been made to present Muslims as divided into various sects as Wahabi Andolan( Movement), Deobandi Andolan and Aligarh Andolan. -

BASHARAT AHMADALI RIAZ AHMADALI Mr Basharat Ahmadali was born in Suriname (South America) on July 10, 1941 to Shekh Ahmadali (a British-Indian immigrant) and Doerkhanie Ghafoerkhan. He received his Master of Laws degree at the Free University of Amsterdam in 1971, and his primary and secondary education at Christian schools; the university he attended for his law studies was also Christian. Mr Ahmadali received his Islamic education at the well-known madrassa of the SIV branch, Imdadia Isha‘at Islam, which was established by his fa- ther, Maulvi Shekh Ahmadali, and his supplemental Islamic education was by home study and discussing religious matters with his brothers and sisters and the best students of his father’s madrassa and from discussions with visiting missionaries of the Central Anjuman. -

Role of Tehrīk-e- Mujahedin in promotion of Two Nation Theory: (An analysis of Freedom Movement in the Light of Islamic Teachings) *Dr. Riaz Ahmad Saeed **Dr. Riaz Khan al-Azhari Abstract It is a historical fact that wherever the Muslims went; they were considered as a distinct community from others due to their strong Islamic identity, which is called Two Nation Theory. Muslims, due to this Islamic Ideology, conquered Subcontinent and ruled over there more than one millennium. They successfully ruled the Indian Subcontinent till the Two Nation Theory was alive in their minds. When Mughal Emperor, Akbar tried to demolish this Theory by introducing his new, fake, fabricated and heretical religion, named as “Dīn-e-Akbari" or “Dīn-i-Ilāhī” . The renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Mujaddid Alif Sānī challenged this so-called innovated religion. After that Shāh WalīUllāh Muḥaddith Dehlavī worked against this innovative and heretical religion. After it, the first organized movement was established by Shāh Abdul‘Azīz, the son of Shāh WalīUllāh in 1820 AD. This Movement played a dynamic role in Muslim's Renaissance in the Subcontinent. It also played a vital role to promote Two Nation Theory and major Muslim movements got inspiration from it .Although, this movement was crushed at Bālākōt in 1831 AD, but it left comprehensive impacts across the Muslim world, especially, in Indian Subcontinent. This movement kindled a flame of freedom in the Muslims of Subcontinent. Historically, this Movement has a practical participation in the Independence movement of Pakistan. As we see its role at the time of Referendum in the North-Western Frontier Province in 1947.
