JOB TITLE: Digital Content Producer (KIDS) DEPARTMENT: Sony Pictures Television, Networks UK REPORTING TO: Head of Online Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. Overview: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) is one of the fastest growing TV networks in the UK, having recently acquired the CSC Media Group portfolio of channels, and now operates over 20 linear television channels in the UK – distributed across Freeview, Sky, Virgin and Freesat. SPT operates channels in the Kids, Movies, Music and General Entertainment categories, with channel brands including Sony Entertainment Television, MovieMix, True Entertainment, True Movies, Chart Show, The Vault, Pop and Tiny Pop. The role: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Producer to work in the ‘kids’ market, sourcing and creating engaging content and graphics across their kids’ TV websites and apps. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual to work across digital platforms where you can use the TV to help drive traffic to the apps and website but at the same time develop digital products that are successes in their own right. You will be required to work closely with the TV and digital teams, sourcing and creating new content for our child- centered product portfolio. You will also work closely with external designers, developers and sponsorship representatives, and will be responsible for management and delivery of children’s digital projects (i.e. new website features or enhancements), games and sponsorship integrations. The kids’ apps we currently operate are tinypop.com , popfun.co.uk , kixtv.co.uk, the POP ArtPad app and the Tiny Pop app (launching Nov 2015). Responsibilities / Execution: Design simple, eye catching and innovative banners to promote content, TV programmes and sponsorship integrations Maintain the website/s and app/s , creating engaging content such as, activities and simple games Script and manage the creation of short TV promos by the TV Edit team, to advertise web content Work closely with digital agencies and developers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to specification Create powerful promotional campaigns that can run across TV and digital platforms, working with the Channel Manager to maintain consistency with the TV channels Write and publish engaging content: interactive quizzes, competitions, polls and general editorial content Connect with community members and help them connect with each other across social media outlets Respond to user emails and moderate user generated content (picture and video submissions) Manage the creation of short TV promos by the TV Edit team, to advertise web content Lead user research, metrics gathering and performance analysis of all of your products, and communicate results across the company Required Skills and Experience: Excellent design skills and demonstrable experience of working within Adobe Photoshop is essential The position will not entail programming or development work however a general understanding of product development lifecycles relating to digital content, websites and apps is required. Experience within children's media or games would be advantageous but not essential - however an interest in the area is essential Experience of contributing and working in a creative and innovation led environment An understanding and commitment to providing the best user experience across all platforms A good understanding of social media, such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram Excellent written and oral communication You will need to be confident enough to work alone without close supervision and will be equally comfortable working as part of a team, inputting ideas for new website/app features and game developments Able to attain a good level of knowledge of a website Content Management System (CMS) and to be able to work creatively and effectively with it An understanding and experience of working with web analytics tools to track and monitor performance If you feel you meet the above requirements we would love to hear from you!
