This fine simulated lambskin has been especially manufactured to resemble genuine leather in every detail. “Luthertex” makes a very wearable apron that will not stain or crack.     2011 Commission Report BAJA CALIFORNIA The two groups representing the Grand Lodge of Baja California have now worked out an agreement that has unified them again into one regular Grand Lodge. The leaders of the two groups have signed the agreement, and have assured it will be ratified by both groups. The Grand Lodge of Baja California has now satisfied the standards for recognition. BULGARIA There continues to be no progress in the unification of Freemasonry in Bulgaria. Since they have previously been determined to meet the standards for recognition, there is no interest on the part of the United Grand Lodge of Bulgaria in entering discussions with the Grand Lodge AF&AM of Bulgaria, either for unification or for establishing a treaty to share the jurisdiction. Both of these Grand Lodges appear to practice regular Masonry, and both were of the same origin until they split in 2001. This Commission has urged the two Grand Lodges to resolve their differences for the past seven years to no avail; therefore this issue will not be addressed again until the brethren in Bulgaria reach some type of agreement. CYPRUS The United Grand Lodge of England and the Grand Lodge of Cyprus have reached an accord whereby they will both share the jurisdiction of Cyprus, and have established fraternal relations among themselves. The Grand Lodge of Cyprus therefore now meets all the standards for recognition. CZECH REPUBLIC The Grand Lodge of the Czech Republic informed us that an irregular body calling itself the Czech National Grand Lodge was recently created by a group of dissident members who defected and formed this new organization.

In the business world, an organization is built around Presidents, Vice Presidents, General Managers, Regional Managers, Supervisors and Workers. Each position plays an important part in order for the organization to be profitable and successful. In essence, the Masonic Lodge Officer duties and Masonic Officer Training structure, much like their counterparts in the business world, shoulder the Lodge Officer Responsibilities which makes a lodge successful. Masonic Lodge Progressive Line: Lodge Officers are part of a "progressive line", which is also known as "going through the chairs" ...or as the Masonic Officer Chairs. This line of succession moves up one position at a time from one year to the next. If no one asks to "step out of line" for any reason, 7 years from the time of becoming Junior Steward, the Master Mason will arrive at the chair of the Worshipful Master. The progression is as follows: Junior Steward, Senior Steward, Junior Deacon, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, Senior Warden...and then Worshipful Master. The progressive line is used in the United States and in many other jurisdictions, as well. Lodge Elections: In the Masonic Lodge, the top five Lodge Officers are (in this order) the Worshipful Master, the Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Treasurer and Secretary are elected by the Lodge members at their annual elections.

HALPAUS GRAND MASTER 4 GRAND LODGE OF MINNESOTA BIOGRAPHY GRAND MASTER EDWARD R. HALPAUS Edward R. Halpaus grew-up and went to school in Minneapolis. After graduating from the Minnesota School of Business, he moved to Mora, MN, and started working for Brother Hugo Holmstrom, although he wasn’t himself, yet a Mason. Ed became a Mason in 1977 in Mora Lodge No. 223, and is currently a member of Mora Lodge No. 223, Northeast-Winslow Lewis Lodge No. 125, and North Star Lodge No. 23. He’s loved Freemasonry from then to now, and owes his love for the study of Freemasonry to W. Brother Frank G. Johnson, a lifelong friend and mentor. Ed served as Master of Mora Lodge in 1980, and again in 1994; he later served as Master of Helios Lodge No. 273 in 2003. Ed was appointed as a District Representative for District 8 in 1997, and was recognized as the District Representative of the Year by MWB Roger Taylor in 2001. He went on to serve as Area Deputy for the Northeast Area. In 2003, MWB Neil Neddermeyer appointed Ed to the position of Grand Lodge Education Officer, a position in which he served for the next eight years.
