(2) Eleanor Ann Lambert (1800 - ) Eleanor was born on18 August 1800 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. She married William Huntington 0n 24 May 1828 in St Mary’s Church, Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire, England. The Church of St. Mary, was built before the year 1333, a licence to perform divine offices, &c. therein being then granted, by Archbishop Melton, to the prior and brethren of Ferriby, for the conveniences of that part of the town of Hull which was in their parish. It was formerly more magnificent than it is at present, the greater part of it being demolished by Henry VIII. because it obstructed the prospect from his manor house, when nothing was left standing but the chancel. Part of the materials of the nave and the steeple were employed to enlarge and repair the manor house, and the rest in constructing the block houses which Henry caused to be erected on the eastern bank of the river Hull. In this state of comparative ruin the church remained, till about the year 1570, when a considerable addition was made to the east end of the chancel, by the parishioners, but for more than a century it stood without a Steeple; in 1696 the present steeple was begun, and in the following year it was completed. St Mary's was to Ferriby, what the Holy Trinity was to Hessle, (3) Arabella Lambert (1802 - ) Arabella was born on 31 March 1802 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. She married John Prest on 17 December 1823 in Christ Church, Sculcoates, Yorkshire. (4) Edward Lambert (1803 - ) Edward was born on 11 August 1803 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. (5) George Bevor Lambert (1804 - ) George was born on 01 December 1904 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. He married Mary Ann Hearon about November 1847 in St Lawrence, York, Yorkshire, England There’s been a church here since the 1100′s. The tower of this original church is still standing in the churchyard and almost hidden by tall trees in summer. It is the surviving remnant of the medieval church dating from 1316, which served the parish just outside Walmgate. Only this tower remains, standing there on its own, after the rest of the building was demolished in the 1880s. The tower is enhanced by the fine Norman doorway from the old church of St Laurence which was re-erected into the east side of the tower when that church was demolished. The top storey of the tower was added in the 15th centu This old church was badly damaged in 1644. York was a Royalist stronghold in the Civil War, and the Parliamentary army besieging the city had big guns stationed on Lamel Hill, where the water tower is now. They were shelling Walmgate Bar, but they weren’t very accurate, and hit the church as well as all the houses near the Bar. The church remained semi-ruined till 1669, when restoration was started. By 1719, the church was in a fit state to hold one of York’s most exalted society weddings. On January 14th that year, Henrietta Maria Yarburgh, daughter of the Yarburgh family of Heslington Hall, married Sir John Vanburgh, the architect who designed Castle Howard and Blenheim Palace. (6) Arthur Lambert (1806 - ) Arthur was born on 16 August 1806 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. (7) Henry Crowle Lambert (1808 - ) Henry was born on09 March 1808 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. She married Edward Wallis in a double wedding with the suster about May 1848 in North Farriby, Yorkshire England. All Saints Church, North Farriby, Yorkshire was designed by John Loughborough Pearson, R.A. (1817-1897), and was completed in 1848. Pearson is considered one of the best Church architects of the 19th century. He began his work with a number of churches in the East Riding. Later he designed Truro Cathedral. The church is in the Geometrical style of the later 13th century. A quantity of stone from the previous church is used, obvious examples being the lower stones of the six pillars, and the arches of the north aisle. The roof-work is particularly good, possibly using some timber from the previous church. The church is 108 feet long overall, and the octagonal broach spire is 165 feet high. Edward Wallis died about February 1854 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England. According to the 1861 census Emma was living in High Street, Ferriby .
