Door Hans Geplaatst in september 2008 De recente release van Highway Chile, Neerlands trots uit de tachtiger jaren, is velen niet onopgemerkt gebleven. Sterker nog, het niveau van weleer wordt volgens hardrockminnend Nederland gewoon gehaald. Reden genoeg om na het beluisteren van de nieuwe cd Keeper Of The Earth drummer van weleer Ernst van Ee eens even te bellen. Hee die Ernst, hoe is het er mee? Ja goed joh, druk nu net na de release van de nieuwe cd, en de tour waarvoor nu volop wordt geboekt. Het nieuwe album klinkt fantastisch; hoe hebben jullie die oude stijl weten vast te houden en niet de oren te laten hangen naar de nieuwerwetse rock? We wilden gewoon, sinds de reünie in 2002, gewoon Highway Chile muziek maken zoals vroeger. Wij merken ook dat deze muziek nog steeds populair is bij oud maar vooral ook jong, het zijn tenslotte voor veel nieuwere bands tóch de roots geweest. Maarre...wij zijn zelf ook lekker in die muziek blijven hangen, het moest gewoon beuken, lekker klinken en vooral niet al te moeilijk doen, en ik denk dat dat goed is gelukt. Ik stond eigenlijk wel te kijken van die Rainbow cover.... Ja joh weet je wat het is, we speelden het al live, en dat werd dermate goed ontvangen dat we het een mooie aanvulling vonden tussen oude nieuw opgenomen nummers en het nieuwe materiaal wat in dezelfde lijn ligt.. Stan (Verbraak) is een enorme Dio-fan, en we hebben het nummer wat "rechter" gemaakt in plaats van swingend.
