Desde la formación de SICSUR en 2009, el Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes de Chile ha sido parte del permanente proceso de puesta en valor e intercambio de metodologías e información Lgenerada en los países miembros, contribuyendo a la consolidación del conocimiento sobre el desarrollo cultural de la región. Un importante elemento para una caracterización del desarrollo cultural mencionado tiene directa relación con los mecanismos institucionales a través de los cuales los distintos países de América del Sur han desarrollado e implementado sus políticas culturales. En este sentido, la institucionalidad cultural constituye un objeto de estudio privilegiado al momento de generar reflexiones conceptuales y propuestas de acción, no solo en materias artísticas o identitarias, por nombrar algunos de los aspectos relevantes, sino además nos permiten tener una aproximación a los distintos escenarios políticos que ha vivido la región y los dispositivos a través de los cuales se han visto representados los intereses de los diversos sectores de las sociedades sudamericanas. El estudio que aquí presentamos hace eco de los planteamientos arriba expuestos. En sus páginas se exploran las transformaciones que ha experimentado la cultura desde la óptica del ámbito público en América del Sur, describiendo los complejos procesos de institucionalización, de ampliación del campo de acción del Estado en la misma, y de incorporación de nuevas problemáticas, como por ejemplo la identidad y la diversidad, a raíz de los nuevos fenómenos que enfrentan nuestras sociedades. Adicionalmente, este estudio permite observar cómo la complementariedad de la administración pública con una activa participación de la sociedad civil y la comunidad artístico-cultural ha permitido definir políticas culturales que reflejan de mejor manera a las necesidades en el campo cultural de los habitantes de la región. Con este estudio hemos corroborado que el levantamiento de información y las investigaciones con perspectiva regional permiten, además de explorar las particularidades culturales de cada país, reconocer los aspectos transversales que se cristalizan en nuestras instituciones, entregándonos aprendizajes que enriquecen los procesos de democratización de nuestras naciones. Para optimizar estos objetivos, es preciso profundizar los mecanismos de cooperación internacional, que en este estudio han sido identificados como importantes

    En la última década, las instituciones culturales públicas y privadas de diversas naciones iberoamericanas han buscado comprender, evidenciar y posicionar el papel que cumple la cultura en el desarrollo de sus países. Esta voluntad de resaltar la relevancia de la dimensiones social y económica de la cultura ha fortalecido el interés en la construcción de información y metodologías que permitan una aproximación pertinente a las dinámicas del complejo mundo cultural, en particular de aquellas que tienen como protagonistas a sus actores o emprendimientos culturales. Existe consenso en la región sobre la importancia de disponer de información actualizada en el sector cultural iberoamericano desde su dimensión económica y social. En ese sentido, este estudio pretende proporcionar información de primera mano desde una perspectiva comparativa e integral. Con este n se ha buscado consolidar los resultados de estudios regionales existentes sobre el aporte del sector cultural al desarrollo económico, la Estudio comparativo de cultura generación de empleo y las políticas públicas orientadas a producir información del sector. El estudio reúne, además, información relativa a las y desarrollo en Iberoamérica acciones llevadas a cabo en materia de políticas públicas para el fortalecimiento de la economía cultural y creativa en la región iberoamericana en los últimos años. Where information has been derived from other sources, I confirm that this has been indicated in the thesis. _________________________ Manuel Andrés Capella Palacios 3 4 Abstract This thesis is an ethnography of the way psychologists construct their professional identities during their training in a State-funded Ecuadorian University, approached from the perspective of Critical Psychology. Considering the field´s theoretical bias, critical psychologists have called for qualitative data that contribute to ongoing discussions. Responsive to such call, this thesis asked the question: “How do psychologists in contemporary Ecuador construct their professional identity?” The author conducted a twelve-month critical ethnography, focusing on a particular training facility as a strategic site; from there, the inquiry extended to so-called “vulnerable” and “marginal” places, where trainees performed their preprofesional and professional roles. Female football, however, is not respected the same way than football of the opposite gender. This study looks into the Ecuadorian female football culture and the reasons behind its poor recognition. Also the role of the Ecuadorian Football Federation is under examination: what is its attitude towards female football and how the federation is, as the most important body in terms of female football in the country, enhancing its popularity. This study has been conducted as a qualitative field study. Observations in Ecuador were made during five months and Ecuadorian women with diverse relationships to football were interviewed. Thematization was used in order to select certain themes from the interviews which played an important role in the formation of opinions of the women towards football. Female football in Ecuador does not have long roots and it is a rather unknown topic among Ecuadorians. The structure of Ecuadorian society, i.e. gender inequality among other things, is a considerable reason behind the poor recognition of female football. The role of women in the Ecuadorian society is special: the role as wives and mothers still dominates in unison with aiming towards equality.
