Vol. 19 No. 1 January 2021 Health & Happiness in the New Year! RC offices will be closed at 1 p.m. on Thursday, New Year's Eve and Prioritizing What's Important in 2021 Friday, January 1st, New Year's Day. The pandemic and 2020 has caused many of us to rethink what's important and prioritize some things we've been a little relaxed on. Below are common areas many of us will focus on in 2021.

Health. With the heighten awareness to keep safe and stay well during COVID, people have put their health in the forefront. Social distancing at home has had some people even adopted a fitness routine not only for their health, but for mental health too. Continue to prioritize your health into the new year with routine wellness exams, eating right, and physical activity around home. Remember, consult with your doctor before starting a new exercise program or fitness routine.

Peace of Mind. Peace of mind is the sense of feeling safe and protected. Online safety falls under this category. RC Technologies Scholarship Opens January 1, 2021 RC Technologies individully awards two $500.00 scholarships to graduating high school senior whose families are current patrons of RC Technologies. Qualified applicants will be asked to submit an application along with a personal essay, letters of recommendation and a chronological list of organizations and/or work history. All documents will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee as part of the selection process. Application deadline is March 31, 2021.

FRS Scholarship Opens January 1, 2021 The Foundation for Rural Service annually awards scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. All appliciants require sponsorship by an NCTA The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible. SDTA Scholarships **Updated**| To Be Announced South Dakota Telecommunications Association (SDTA) annually awards scholarship under two separate programs or scholarship funds administered by the South Dakota Community Foundation, those two programs/funds include "SDTA Memorial Scholarships" and "Brian Meyer Memorial Scholarships."

How To Set Up the MyTvs on a Smart Phone or Tablet: 1. Download the MyTVs app to your smart phone (or a tablet) from the App Store for Apple or Google Play for Andriods. 2. Next, you need your TV and RCTv remote. With the remote pointing at your TV screen, press the MENU button, next arrow down to “Settings”. Arrow over to the top of the next list to “Apps” and on the top of the next list to “Device Code” and press OK. A box will pop up and a code will appear, enter it into your smart phone. 3. Once entered, you can change TV channels or set the DVR to record from anywhere— school, work or home, all from your smart phone!
