An Innovative Method of Weather Modification Roberto Maglione, Cristian Sotgiu Biometeorology and Space Medicine Institute, Ludes University, Lugano, Switzerland
www.orgonenergy.org il portale italiano dedicato all’orgonomia An Innovative Method of Weather Modification Roberto Maglione, Cristian Sotgiu Biometeorology and Space Medicine Institute, Ludes University, Lugano, Switzerland This paper was presented at the VII International Conference on Cosmos and Biosphere: Cosmic Weather and Biological Process, October 1-6, 2007, Sudak, Crimea, Ukraine Abstract First experimental studies of cloud and fog seeding date back to 1919, where Altberg and colleagues at the Central Physical Observatory in Leningrad started experiments both with ice nucleation in supercooled water and with snowflakes growth; on lab fog production; and on cloud seeding with electrically charged sand. In 1934 the Dutch Veraart performed the first studies on seeding clouds with dry ice. Later on in the 1950s, Vonnegut performed the first experiments by seeding clouds with silver iodide with good results. In the last decades, several operations aimed at producing precipitation, controlling hail damage, dispersing of supercooled fog and clouds over airports, and dispersing clouds cover over large areas were carried out by using chemical agents. Diverting hurricanes path was also performed. However, many often the results that were obtained were contrasting and also sometimes an inversion of the tendency in weather conditions was observed with period of intense drought in areas where rainmaking experiments were previously carried out. In parallel, in the 1950s the Austrian scientist Wilhelm Reich started investigating and experimenting a new method of weather modification aimed at restoring the natural functioning of the atmosphere characterised by periodic cycles of rain and clear weather. The fundamental principle of this method, that was called Cloudbusting, is based on the presence in the atmosphere of a pulsatory cosmic energy (called orgone energy) postulated to be responsible for major atmospheric phenomena. -

Reading activity Title: Yngwie J. Malmsteen Level. Intermediate + Objective. To practice reading comprehension and identify the past form of the verb and the regular and irregular forms. Instructions: Read the text carefully and answer the questions below. Yngwie J. Malmsteen Yngwie Johann Malmsteen (born Lars Johann Yngve Lannerbäck, June 30, 1963) is a Swedish guitarist, composer and bandleader. Widely recognized as a virtuoso, Malmsteen achieved widespread acclaim in the 1980s due to his technical proficiency and his pioneering neo-classical metal. Guitar One magazine rated him the third fastest guitar shredder in the world after Michael Angelo Batio and Chris Impellitteri. Born into a musical family in Stockholm, Yngwie was the youngest child in the family. At an early age, he showed little interest in music. It wasn't until September 18, 1970 when at age seven he saw a TV special on the death of Jimi Hendrix that Malmsteen became obsessed with the guitar. To quote his official website, "The day Jimi Hendrix died, the guitar-playing Yngwie was born". He claims his first name in Swedish means "young Viking chief". Actually, it is a variation of Yngvi, who founded the House of Yngling, which is the oldest known Swedish dynasty. Malmsteen was in his teens when he first encountered the music of the 19th- José Ramón Montero Del Angel | Universidad Veracruzana century violin virtuoso Niccolò Paganini, whom he cites as his biggest classical influence. It has been rumoured that Yngwie believes himself to be the reincarnation of the temperamental, often criticized, and widely misunderstood violinist from Genoa. Through his emulation of Paganini concerto pieces on guitar, Malmsteen developed a prodigious technical fluency. -

Full Results of Survey of Songs
Existential Songs Full results Supplementary material for Mick Cooper’s Existential psychotherapy and counselling: Contributions to a pluralistic practice (Sage, 2015), Appendix. One of the great strengths of existential philosophy is that it stretches far beyond psychotherapy and counselling; into art, literature and many other forms of popular culture. This means that there are many – including films, novels and songs that convey the key messages of existentialism. These may be useful for trainees of existential therapy, and also as recommendations for clients to deepen an understanding of this way of seeing the world. In order to identify the most helpful resources, an online survey was conducted in the summer of 2014 to identify the key existential films, books and novels. Invites were sent out via email to existential training institutes and societies, and through social media. Participants were invited to nominate up to three of each art media that ‘most strongly communicate the core messages of existentialism’. In total, 119 people took part in the survey (i.e., gave one or more response). Approximately half were female (n = 57) and half were male (n = 56), with one of other gender. The average age was 47 years old (range 26–89). The participants were primarily distributed across the UK (n = 37), continental Europe (n = 34), North America (n = 24), Australia (n = 15) and Asia (n = 6). Around 90% of the respondents were either qualified therapists (n = 78) or in training (n = 26). Of these, around two-thirds (n = 69) considered themselves existential therapists, and one third (n = 32) did not. There were 235 nominations for the key existential song, with enormous variation across the different respondents. -

Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} Under the Ivy The Life & Music of Kate Bush by Graeme Thomson Bush, Robert John. Born on April 4, 1920 in South Ockendon, Robert John Bush worked hard to win a scholarship to the Grammar School at Grays, and later won a place at medical school to become a doctor. He married Hannah Bush in early 1943. Together they had three children: John Carder Bush (1944), Paddy Bush (1952) and Kate (1958). His voice can be heard in the song The Fog, in the extended version of The Big Sky (The Meteorological Mix) and also among the voices calling to the heroine of The Ninth Wave between the songs Under Ice and Waking The Witch. KT Bush Band. Band formed in 1977 by Brian Bath, Vic King, Del Palmer and Kate Bush. After practicing in Greenwich and East Wickham Farm, they made their live debut in April 1977 at the Rose Of Lee in Lewisham. The set list consisted of standards like Come Together, 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine', 'Tracks Of My Tears', but also early versions of Kate Bush songs like James And The Cold Gun, Saxophone Song and Them Heavy People. During the summer of 1977 the band played various venues in and around London, a grand total of 20 gigs. When Kate Bush started recording her debut album The Kick Inside, she actually recorded versions of 'Them Heavy People' and 'James And The Cold Gun' at De Wolfe Studios in London with the KT Bush Band, but in the end, the band members were not used for the album recordings. -

The peculiar discourse that arises from this kind of emphasis leads to a mesmerising and occasionally amusing line of progression endowing the book with a highly ramified structure, almost in itself an example of a maximalist procedure. -

In Author a new series, our authors nominate their favourites. David McCooey Professor of Writing and Literature, Deakin University Kate Bush’s Hounds of Love (1985) was the first album I heard on CD. With its use of the Fairlight CMI (a digital synthesizer/sampler workstation), digital reverb, and drum machines, it was perhaps eminently suitable for the CD format. But under its shiny digital sound, Hounds of Love was very much an LP, as seen in its two-part structure. Side one, Hounds of Love, covers themes characteristic of Bush: intimacy and its limits (Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) and The Big Sky); familial love (albeit darkly articulated in Mother Stands for Comfort); and the intensity and ambivalence of sexual desire (Hounds of Love). Meanwhile, side two comprises of The Ninth Wave, a song cycle about a woman who has fallen into the sea at night, with only the “little light” of her life jacket to guide her.
