The (9‐1) earned a 27‐17 victory over the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs (9‐1) on Sunday night to capture their ninth consecutive win in divisional play (second‐longest streak in team history) and their 12th consecutive victory at home (tied for the third‐longest streak in team history). The win also ensured the 26th all‐time winning season for the Broncos.

Broncos TE Julius Thomas’ 9‐yard touchdown reception in the first quarter was his 10th of the season, tying him with Hall of Fame TE Shannon Sharpe for the most by a tight end in a single season in team history.

With his 9‐yard touchdown pass to TE Julius Thomas in the first quarter, Broncos QB pulled into a tie with Jake Plummer and Brian Griese for the third‐most touchdowns (71) in team history. Manning completed 24‐of‐40 passes (60.0%) for 323 yards with one touchdown (94.1 rtg.) against the Chiefs.

Denver’s first offensive touchdown was set up by a 70‐yard reception from WR Demaryius Thomas. The play represented the third‐longest of the season for the Broncos. Thomas finished the game with five receptions for 121 yards (24.2 avg.) to represent his 12th career regular‐season 100‐ yard receiving game (13th including postseason).
