The Denver Broncos (9‐1) earned a 27‐17 victory over the previously unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs (9‐1) on Sunday night to capture their ninth consecutive win in divisional play (second‐longest streak in team history) and their 12th consecutive victory at home (tied for the third‐longest streak in team history). The win also ensured the 26th all‐time winning season for the Broncos.

With his 9‐yard touchdown pass to TE Julius Thomas in the first quarter, Broncos QB Peyton Manning pulled into a tie with Jake Plummer and Brian Griese for the third‐most touchdowns (71) in team history. Manning completed 24‐of‐40 passes (60.0%) for 323 yards with one touchdown (94.1 rtg.) against the Chiefs.

Denver’s first offensive touchdown was set up by a 70‐yard reception from WR Demaryius Thomas. The play represented the third‐longest of the season for the Broncos.
