In this issue we have a variety of excellent special offers for members including details of the Children’s Xmas Party. Also included is the date and location for our AGM. If you are unsure about whether you are a member:- Who is a member of NESLC: • An RCSL/HASSRA member working on BPV, WVP, TVP or Durham House paying their affiliated club • NAMS (National Associate Members) • Retired Members • Associates BPV - you are in HASSRA or RCSL unless you are a HASSRA member in the local office club CMG (Room BP5302 only) TVP - you are in HASSRA unless you are a HASSRA member in the local office clubs (E.g. You do not have to be a HASSRA member to view the pages and you can view them from anywhere. All our offers and trips are here. Keep checking regularly for frequent updates Proposed amendment to NESLC Constitution Rule 4 An amendment to Rule 4 (Membership) of the NELSC Constitution is being proposed for the 2020 AGM. The proposal is to replace the current Rule 4 with a generic membership rule and for the detail of how membership will operate in practice to be included in the NESLC policy document. The officers consider this to be an important amendment which allows changes to occupancy of Newcastle Estate and changes to the operation of sponsoring departmental sports clubs to be quickly and accurately reflected into NESLC policy without the need to wait for the AGM to ratify the necessary changes Full details of the proposal to be notified prior to the AGM Lynsey Wilkinson NESLC Vice Chair NESLC AGM This will be held on Friday March 6th 2020 commencing at 4pm at the Innisfree Social Club, Chesters Avenue, Longbenton . Wishing all our members a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! 4 Children’s Christmas Party Sunday December 15th 2019 12pm to 4pm Innisfree Social Club Chester Avenue, Longbenton Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear NESLC and CSSC are joining forces again this year to throw the ultimate children’s party!!!!! NESLC and CSSC have limited allocations per organisation, if you are a member of both you can apply via NESLC or CSSC. This event is open to member’s children, nieces, nephews or grandchildren, aged 4 – 11 only. There is limited availability to 80 children, so book early to avoid disappointment. The party will include all the favourite party games with spot prizes, a disco and buffet for all chil- dren. Each child will also receive a selection box from Santa himself. A reserve list will be held if more applications are received. Closing date for bookings is Wednesday 11th December. The venue has changed and is smaller than Four Lane Ends and there is a health and safety maxi- mum number of 240 in the room, the bar is open to adults. Please be advised that the buffet is due to open at 2.30-3pm, or when the last child has received their selection box.

    First Release HB/CTB Speed of Processing Introduction 24th January 2011 This Statistical First Release contains Official Statistics produced by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) on the Speed of Processing (SoP) performance measure. Coverage: Great Britain Theme It measures the average time taken to process new claims and changes of People and Places circumstances for Housing Benefit (HB) and Council Tax Benefit (CTB). SoP performance information is published as a mean average processing time in calendar days for each local authority, rounded to the nearest day. Previously the mean average processing times for new claims and for change of circumstances were published alongside the Right Time Indicator (RTI). This release contains new statistics relating to quarter 2 2011/12 (July 2011 to September 2011). Tyneview Park (TVP) - you are in HASSRA unless you are a member in the local office clubs (Newcastle Pension Centre, NCIB/FES), or an RCSL North member who has opted to retain your NESLC membership. Durham House (DH) - you are in HASSRA or an RCSL North member who has opted to retain your NESLC membership. Waterview Park (WVP) - you are an RCSL North Member who has opted to retain your NESLC membership. If you are a HASSRA member in a local office club at any of the above locations you can choose to join NESLC for an additional £8 per year. If you are an RCSL North member at TVP, WVP or DH and have not opted to retain your NESLC membership you can join NESLC for an additional £8 per year.
