Interested grain growers and advisors are invited to attend the Spotlight on Canola Systems Field Day Thursday 26 July, 2018

The Field Day will include visits to three trial site locations:

Site 1: Oaklands - 10:00am Riverine Plains Canola Systems trial evaluating the profitability of hybrid, triazine tolerant, imi tolerant, high oleic and Roundup Ready® varieties. Trial Hosts: The Moloney family, 95 Saffron Rd, , NSW Site Location: -35.56787, 146.33404 Directions: From Oaklands, take Rd (Saffron-Oaklands Rd) east. Turn left onto Federation Way (- Corowa Rd). After 2kms, turn right onto Bynedale Rd (Saffron-Rand Rd). After 2kms turn left onto Saffron Rd and travel for 1km, ‘Bingarra’ will be on the left.

GRDC Optimising canola nutrition in the southern region of NSW trials, Coreen and

Site 2: Coreen - 12 noon Riverine Plains Inc and GRDC Canola sulphur and nitrogen nutrition trial.

Site 3: Howlong - 2:15pm Riverine Plains Inc and GRDC Canola sulphur and nitrogen nutrition trial, with discussion of 2017 results. Trial Hosts: The Trevethan family, Hwy, Howlong Site Location: -35.95017, 146.54635 (Google Maps)

Speakers will include Eric Nankivell (Farmanco) and Dr Cassandra Schefe (Riverine Plains Inc), with additional speakers to be confirmed closer to the event. All are welcome to attend this free event. The visits to the canola sulphur and nitrogen nutrition sites are being held as part of the GRDC investment Optimising crop nutrition in canola in the southern region of NSW. In the event of wet weather, discussions will be held in nearby sheds. Lunch will be provided.
