WELCOME HOME CEREMONIES SCHEDULED FOR IOWA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD UNITS

Modified community welcome home ceremonies for the 1st Battalion “Ironman,” 133d Infantry Regiment, Iowa Army National Guard, will be held between April 7, 2021, and April 13, 2021. Specific dates and locations are listed below. Most times are TBD; please find updates on Facebook @IowaNationalGuard as the dates get closer.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 related public health concerns, the welcome home ceremonies are not open to the public. The ceremonies will be livestreamed via social media. Local media is welcomed and encouraged to cover these events utilizing proper social distancing protocols.

Dubuque Approximately 130 Soldiers from Company A, 1-133d Infantry BN, will be honored at a homecoming ceremony on April 13, 2021, starting at TBD at the , (10965 Aviation Dr., Dubuque). The ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook @ASSASSINS133INF.

Cedar Rapids Approximately 130 Soldiers from Company B, 1-133d Infantry BN, will be honored at a homecoming ceremony on April 9, 2021, starting at TBD at the Eastern Iowa Airport (2121 Arthur Collins Parkway SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa). The ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook @bravocompany1BN133INF.

Waterloo Approximately 100 Soldiers from Company C, 1-133d Infantry BN, will be honored at a homecoming ceremony on April 7, 2021, starting around 12:00 p.m. at the Waterloo

Approximately 150 Soldiers from Headquarters Company, 1-133d Infantry BN, will be honored at a homecoming ceremony on April 13, 2021, starting at TBD at the Waterloo Regional Airport (2790 Livingston Ln., Waterloo, Iowa). The ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook @133Hellraiser.

Davenport Approximately 110 Soldiers from Company D, 1-133d Infantry BN, will be honored at a homecoming ceremony on April 9, 2021, starting at TBD at the Quad City International Airport (2200 69th Ave., Moline, Iowa). The ceremony will be livestreamed on Facebook @DCo133INF.

The Ironman Battalion supported Operation Spartan Shield in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. This was the fifth federal mobilization for the Ironman Battalion since 2000, including a nearly 22-month mobilization in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from September 2005 through August 2007.
