Dear Parents, Our Summer musical, Peter Pan Jr, is approximately 8 weeks away…! I know I’ve had many costumes queries already! We’re hoping many costumes can be bought/made/supplied by home. We also have some costumes we hope to reuse from previous productions. Please see notes below… Every child must have footwear – the stage is not suitable for bare feet. We may use Snazaroo face paint/glitter spray on some children (particularly Indians) Please let us know if you do not give permission. Fairies: Lucy, Alissa, Maryam, School to sort dresses. Kate, Emily B, Emily Holt Please can the girls have canvas ballet shoes – we will dye them to match the fairy colour dresses. John Darling: William Long pale blue or white night shirt, ‘old fashioned’ slippers? or Smethurst Old fashioned ‘shirt’ pyjamas and top hat + black umbrella + round black glasses? Michael Darling: Jay Booth Plain onesie? Must have plain slippers Traditional teddy bear – brown! Mr. Darling: Toby Kennedy Formal Suit – bowtie/trousers / shirt /cufflinks if possible? Mrs. Darling: Lily Honeywell Formal dress / hair up / make up / jewellery Nana: Poppy Lee dog costume, maybe onesie? – Poppy to be comfortable wearing… No mask to cover her face Captain Hook: James Turner Hook costume, to include hook and wig – if James happy to wear? Smee: Matthew Stephenson Pale blue + white stripy t-shirt, Pale blue long shorts, Red bandana / bobble hat, sandals Chief Tiger Bamboo: Harvey Indian Chief costume – to include feather headdress, and blowpipe. Bancks Tiger Lily: Abigail Deavall Indian girl costume – to include single feather headband. Ensure Abigail has shoes – ballet shoes? Crocodile: Emily Hyland Crocodile costume, maybe onesie? – Emily to be comfortable wearing… No mask to cover her face Mermaids: Isobel, Emily Hyde, School to sort dresses. Girls can have hair down, flowers / Melissa Taylor, Bella accessories in hair. Alanah, Raea Girls to have canvas ballet shoes – we will dye the shoes to match their dresses. Ensemble: Lost Boys Like ‘urchin’ style, scruffy, shorts, pumps/boots, hair up, can have ‘catapult’ / pretend weapons. Y5/6 Lost Boy parts: Foxy, Skunk, Cubby, Hop, Racoon Twins: Please try and look like your character. Y3/4/5 Mermaids Mermaid costume, must have ballet shoes or something on feet – no bare feet. Hair can be down and have flowers in etc Pirates Pirates costume, accessories welcome – may have 1 ‘realistic’ toy sword, no red jacket/’captain style’ costumes, (like Captain Hook) Indian Braves Plaited hair, feathers, ‘Native American’ style, no chief headdresses: may have small bow/arrow as accessory. .
