If the Words 'Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness' Don't “If the words ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ don’t include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the ‘Declaration of Independence’ isn’t worth the hemp it was written on.” ― ~ Terence Kemp McKenna ~ In an era of evolutionary exigency caused by the excesses of consumerism, Cannabis sativa affords humanity a regenerative source of fuel, food, and fiber produced by organic methods, and a realistic tactic for climate change mitigation via the sequestration of carbonaceous biomass in our cropland, whereby the plant can produce four times as much paper as the same area of trees. Despite a favorable climate and unlimited market, it is listed among the most criminally-prohibited psychoactive drugs on Schedule 1 of the ‘Controlled Substances Act’, and thus, the cultivation of industrial hemp is effectively illegal, at the present time, in these United States of America. To exemplify the message printed upon them, pages of this First Edition of ENTHEOGENESIS were manufactured from 25% Canadian cannabis and 75% post-consumer recycled waste, making it the first such book produced in the past American century. This unique textstock, from Greenfield Paper Company, was milled in the U.S.A. by a facility that purchases wind energy offsets and reclaims its wastewater. Because the egregious laws of this country place ecological consideration at odds with fiscal sustainability, such materials are provided at the author’s expense, and design of this publication is thus predicated, to a large extent, on their efficient usage. The coverstock is of New Leaf Primavera Silk, whose 60% post-consumer recycled content is the highest of any coated sheet available today, while 20% pre-consumer recycled waste and 20% Forest Stewardship Council certified pulpwood comprise the remainder. Currently based off-the-grid at Earthaven Ecovillage, beLove’s headquarters are built of, and powered by renewable resources, while the author’s tour for meme dissemination is fueled by biodiesel. This volume was printed domestically with non-toxic inks by McNaughton & Gunn, whose EarthCare initiative has reduced its landfill waste per bound book produced by 95% in the past ten years. We believe that if the human species should achieve sustainability, our paradigm will not come from the top of a pyramid scheme. While some protest the status quo or demand solar energy, beLove aspires to a solution-oriented model of artiSunal vertical integration and environmental enterprise, with an eye toward obsolescence of government and freedom from reliance on petroleum fuels. Thanks for participating in this adventure, where ethics will prevail over economics. But if I’m not, then you know that I’m behind your eyelids, and I’ll meet you there.” ~ Terence Kemp McKenna ~ November 16, 1946 April 3, 2000 10 ENTHEOGENESIS : Origin of the Divinity within Us ADMONITION Dear reader, be forewarned; ENTHEOGENESIS may require the use of a dictionary andor encyclopedia, not to mention a working knowledge of Greek and Roman mythology... you might want to reread the ILIAD and ODySSEy, just to make sure. Too hard for you? Too much work? Then I warn you again: Walk away, choose another title. However, you heroes who seek new lands, who are unafraid of new ideas or education, those of you who pursue cerebral adventure, who desire a challenge worthy of your intellect: Well then, step right up and open this book. you may not agree, you will very likely be offended, but you will NOT be bored, I promise you that...and you will be moved. you will be moved, I say, by the skill of a storyteller who brings an entire dysfunctional world into clear focus. you will be moved by the sharp examination of a brand new way of life. And you will be moved, again, by the description of the travels and travails of a young man thrown by fear and horrible mistakes into a brave new world. This is more than just a dystopia, more than sci-fi adventure, though it is both of those things. In the great tradition of NINETEEN EIGHTy-FOUR, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, MEMOIRS FOUND IN A BATHTUB, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, MOCKINGBIRD, and FAHRENHEIT 451, this novel, through its characters, through its epic plot, through its made up story will bring you to the place all good books will bring us

  • Rock Album Discography Last Up-Date: September 27Th, 2021
Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.
