Owners must become an NPS Qualifying or Life members to enter the final. NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds Breed Show Rules: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members at Breed Shows ponies can qualify for the final even if their owners are not NPS members. The owner of a qualified pony must become a member to enter the finals. The highest placed pony, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. Judge: Mrs G. McMurray, Trailtrow, Bellstown, Eaglesfield, Lockerbie, Dumfries. A manuscript music book containing French and Italian songs set to music (NLW MS 15607A). Mrs Hope also bequeathed all her books to the National Library, of which about ten works were chosen for retention, most of them being old-time children's books (Dept of Printed Books). Of the others especial interest attaches to a copy of J. R. Planche's The Pursuivant of arms which is interleaved with manuscript notes and contains, besides, many manuscript corrections in the text. The books not needed are to be sold for the Library's benefit.
