Resumen A pesar de que las investigaciones sobre el cine clásico-industrial argentino han Palabras clave aumentado considerablemente el último tiempo, aún son relativamente pocas las Star-system; que abordan el tema, muchos menos las que hacen foco en el sistema de estrellas estrella; actor/trabajador; en particular. Los escasos trabajos que lo hacen, por otro lado, suelen centrarse en cine industrial; determinadas figuras o en los films que éstas protagonizan, sin dar mayor relevancia sistema de estudios a las condiciones que lo posibilitan o al contexto económico del cual es fruto. En casi todos ellos, se resalta la condición de “producto a consumir” de la estrella, dejando de lado su calidad de trabajador, en parte, porque para algunos esa categorización parece oponerse a su condición de artista, en parte, porque para otros el desempeño interpretativo de la star es casi nulo, siendo ésta un producto basado solo en su físico y su personalidad, ambos especialmente pulidos para su “venta”. El siguiente artículo se propone analizar el sistema de estrellas en Argentina, prestando especial atención a los actores y actrices que lo conformaron, como así también a las razones de su aparición y formas particulares que adoptó en nuestro país. Ambiciona, además, plantear algunas preguntas sobre la específica condición de trabajador de la estrella, dentro de un sistema indudablemente capitalista. -

There are those, it is true, who question the importance of his career and reject the cult of the hero. For them the meaning of liberation is to be found in the study of economic struc- tures, social classes and the international conjuncture, not in military actions and the lives of liberators. In this view Carlyle’s discourse on heroes is a mu- seum piece and his elevation of heroes as the prime subject of history a misconception. -

They contain the Captainular Acts of the Meetings of the National Assumption Lobby in the period 1805 and 1806. Our intention is to demonstrate, through these demands, and to expose an insipient and colonized Assumption, but hardworking, politicized and developing. Demonstrate the same, the activity of a state apparatus that in the past played an important role together with the people: the Cabildo. On the other hand we intend to contribute to clarify points of questions taken to centuries and that with this monographic work are alls of the past and brought to the historical present. INTRODUCTION To the team of students of the ONE Master's Course, it was given to present a work, that of doing a study of the Chapter Acts contained in a folder corresponding to the period of a full decade: from 1801 to 1811. These are the years that anticipated the most important event for the Republic of Paraguay: its Independence.From these years it was up to us to do the study of the years 1805 and 1806. -

In contrast to Saint-Jean’s clarity, the Argentines were left to wonder why people were arrested or disappeared. The media was not a reliable source of truthful information and people lived in fear of the government as well as their neighbors. In Unit 3, students will learn more about life in Argentina during this Dirty War from exiled writer Eduardo Galeano. They will learn about human rights organizations, and role-play a meeting with the OAS, government officials and prisoners. Essential Questions Lessons I-III • How does literature help us understand the human spirit? • How do writers express their most important sociopolitical views? • How does a writer’s style impact our understanding of sociopolitical events? • How can literature inspire social change? • How can we use databases to access information? • What is the role of human rights organizations? • How do human rights organizations engender change? Na produção da nação como narração ocorre uma cisão entre a temporalidade continuísta, cumulativa, do pedagógico e a estratégia repetitiva, recorrente, do performático. -

Journal: GSI; Volume 11; Issue: 2 DOI: 10.3138/gsi.11.2.03 The Argentine Military and the “Antisubversivo” Genocide DerGhougassian and Brumat The Argentine Military and the “Antisubversivo ” Genocide: The School of Americas’ Contribution to the French Counterinsurgency Model Khatchik DerGhougassian UNLa, Argentina Leiza Brumat EUI, Italy Abstract: The article analyzes role of the United States during the 1976–1983 military dictatorship and their genocidal counterinsurgency war in Argentina. We argue that Washington’s policy evolved from the initial loose support of the Ford administration to what we call “the Carter exception” in 1977—79 when the violation of Human Rights were denounced and concrete measures taken to put pressure on the military to end their repressive campaign. Human Rights, however, lost their importance on Washington’s foreign policy agenda with the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 and the end of the Détente. The Argentine military briefly recuperated US support with Ronald Reagan in 1981 to soon lose it with the Malvinas War. Role during the Proceso When an Argentine military junta seized the power on March 24, 1976 and implemented its “ plan antisubversivo ,” a supposedly counterinsurgency plan to end the political violence in the country, Henry Kissinger, the then United States’ Secretary of State of the Gerald Ford Administration, warned his Argentine colleague that the critiques for the violation of human rights would increment and it was convenient to end the “operations” before January of 1977 when Jimmy Carter, the Democratic candidate and winner of the presidential elections, would assume the power in the White House. -
