Keywords: THE MESSAGES FOUND Language is one of the most important parts of our life in this earth, because human beings to communicate with each other use it. Sometimes people not only use the language that is spoken to communicate, they can also change the form into the poem or lyric. Literature is one medium that can make people express their feelings or emotions from their surrounding when they feel sad or happy. The purpose of this study is to find out the detail, the general meaning, and the message inside the lyrical song “Beautiful” in Christina Aguilera‟s song. This study applies the descriptive qualitative research design because this study uses non- numerical research in analyzing the data. In this study, the objective approach applied in conducting the analysis because it only focuses on the literature itself without influence from anything. The object of this study is Christina Aguilera„s song “Beautiful”, in album “Stripped”, and the research data are derived from reading and understanding the lyrics of Christina Aguilera‟s song “Beautiful” which contained general, detailed meaning and message. The general meaning of the song lyric is about the composer‟s expression about the confidence and struggle of the minor class of people such as transsexual, lesbian and homosexual class in fighting for freedoms in their lives with discriminations. The second is the detail meaning, the composer started the lyrics by explaining the condition of someone who life in discrimination, firstly he felt happy and enjoy his life, but suddenly the people insulted, discriminated and underestimated him. Therefore, he lost the confidence and shamed to his life as a minor class of people. However, he keeps confidence and tries to fight for his freedom. The messages that found in the song “Beautiful” are Mutual Love, Human right, Struggle, Suffering and confidence. .

Finding Love in Hopeless Places: Complex Relationality and Impossible Heterosexuality in Popular Music Videos by Pink and Rihanna Marc Lafrance and Lori Burns KEYWORDS: Pink, Rihanna, music video, popular music, cross-domain analysis, relationality, heterosexuality, liquid love ABSTRACT: This paper presents an interpretive approach to music video analysis that engages with critical scholarship in the areas of popular music studies, gender studies and cultural studies. Two key examples—Pink’s pop video “Try” and Rihanna’s electropop video “We Found Love”—allow us to examine representations of complex human relationality and the paradoxical challenges of heterosexuality in late modernity. We explore Zygmunt Bauman’s notion of “liquid love” in connection with the selected videos. A model for the analysis of lyrics, music, and images according to cross-domain parameters ( thematic, spatial & temporal, relational, and gestural ) facilitates the interpretation of the expressive content we consider. Our model has the potential to be applied to musical texts from the full range of musical genres and to shed light on a variety of social and cultural contexts at both the micro and macro levels. Pop-star Beyoncé Gisele Knowles-Carter is an interesting case in the discussion of colorism because her career has expressed a rich intimacy to Southern Black cul- ture and female empowerment while also playing into tropes of the mulatta “fancy girl,” whose relative proximity to whiteness adheres social value within mainstream culture. Finding aesthetic and thematic parallels between Beyoncé’s recent project Lemonade (2016) and Julie Dash’s cult-classic film Daughters of the Dust (1991) I draw a critical connection between Yellow Mary Peazant and Beyoncé, the prodigal child and the licentious “post-racial,” pop-star to argue that while Lemonade may not present the same critique of exclusionary Black womanhood present within Daughters of the Dust, reactions to the Beyoncé’s visual album and the “Formation” music video inadvertently demonstrate the longevity of harmful colorist prejudices and the disparaging of Black female sexual and creative agency within the Black community.
