Membership Director Report (Dave Stauber):
Applications for new members and transfers – • In an effort to streamline our council meetings, while still ensuring diligence in the admissions process, whenever possible, applications for new members will be presented to the admissions committee for a vote at our monthly planning meetings. The outcome of the applications for admission will be presented at the monthly business meetings and entered into the official minutes at that time. • On December 28, 2018, the Form 100 Application for admission to Council 1498 was presented to the admissions committee at our planning meeting. A quorum of ten members were present at the meeting. The proposer for Bob LaFountaine was Dan Timmerman. Chancellor/Membership Director Dave Stauber met with and interviewed Bob and Marilyn LaFountaine at their home on December 14th. Further recomendations to admit Bob to our Council were received from Dan Timmerman and Peter Hjelmstad. Bob’s form 100 was read in, his application was reviewed and discussed, and voted in at the planning meeting.
Upcoming degree ceremonies: Second and third-degree ceremony on 1/19 Noon to 4:30 at St Francis Assisi in Castle Rock

Report of Ad Hoc Committees/ Standing Committees: --- i) Pancake Breakfasts are restarting. ii) First Saturday Suppers – looking for a leader. iii) Breakfast 1/20/19. iv) Church Decorations – Take down after the Noon Mass on 1/13. Reference Sign Up Genius. v) Gala update – theme is Mardi Gras. Gala date is 3/2/19. vi) We discussed options for our mission trip(s). vii) Lenten Fish Fry’s, we will try to do them every Friday during Lent.

Good of the Order Edification by our lecturer: (Greg Staley) Robert Seydel subbed for Greg and talked about God having a mission for all of us. The struggles we all go through. I challenge you to take care of yourself first. Give thanks and reflect on what you’ve done wrong each day.
Note – Robert suggests we get a sign-up sheet and order two books for all Knights: 1-The Didache Bible and 2-Catechism of the Catholic Church.
