PRESS RELEASE MIES, 19/08/2021 FOR MORE INFORMATION: ISABELLE LARIVIÈRE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER [email protected] TEL +41 22 950 95 68 FIM Grand Prix World Championship 2021 calendar, UPDATE 19 August Malaysian GP cancelled and replaced by a Grand Prix at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce the cancellation of the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, which was set to take place at Sepang International Circuit from the 22nd to the 24th of October. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting entry restrictions for Malaysia oblige the cancellation of the event. The FIM MotoGP™ World Championship looks forward to returning to Sepang in 2022 to race in front of our dedicated Malaysian fans. The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports are pleased to confirm that MotoGP™ will return to Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from the 22nd to the 24th of October, the weekend previously scheduled for the Malaysian GP, for a second Grand Prix at the classic Italian track. The name of this event will be announced in due course. Jules Bianchi, 25, dies nine months after F1 driver crashed at Japanese Grand Prix Posted by TBN_News On 07/20/2015 (3 August 1989 – 17 July 2015) Jules Bianchi was a French motor racing driver who drove for Marussia F1 in the FIA Formula One World Championship. Bianchi had previously raced in Formula Renault 3.5, the GP2 Series and Formula Three and was a Ferrari Driver Academy member. He entered Formula One as a practice driver in 2012 for Sahara Force India. In 2013, he made his debut driving for Marussia, finishing 15th in his opening race in Australia and ended the season in 19th position without scoring any points. His best result that year was 13th at the Malaysian Grand Prix. In October 2013, the team confirmed that he would drive for the team the following season. In the 2014 season, he scored both his and the Marussia's first points in Formula One at the Monaco Grand Prix. On 5 October 2014, during the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Bianchi lost control of his Marussia in very wet conditions and collided with a recovery vehicle, suffering a diffuse axonal injury. He underwent emergency surgery and was then placed into an induced coma, and remained comatose until his death on 17 July 2015. Bianchi is the first Formula One driver to be killed as a result of an accident during a Grand Prix since 1994. Bianchi died from his injuries on 17 July 2015, aged 25. His death made him the first Formula One driver to be killed by injuries sustained during a Grand Prix since Ayrton Senna in 1994. -

Press Release May 8, 2018 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Preview, Round 1, Formula 1 race in Barcelona/Spain Capacity grid at season-opener in Barcelona Stuttgart. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup heads into its 26th season as a support race to Formula 1 on the outskirts of Barcelona this coming weekend (11-13 May). For the 2018 season, fans can look forward to ten rounds run over nine race weekends. Twenty-eight drivers have signed on for the whole season, with additional guest drivers joining the grid at selected rounds. The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup has featured on the same bill as the Formula 1 World Championship every year since it was launched in 1993. Two rounds, Monte Carlo/Monaco and Budapest/Hungary, have been permanent fixtures on the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup calendar since the series began. The one- make cup also returns to Hockenheim/Germany after a year’s break. Other venues on the calendar this season are the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg/Austria, as well as the storied racetracks of Silverstone/Great Britain, Spa-Francorchamps/Belgium and Monza/Italy. A doubleheader in Mexico City provides a fitting finale to the season. “We’re thrilled to return to Hockenheim after a year’s break and to welcome international drivers to our home track. We have a strong line-up of drivers from all over the world,” says Oliver Schwab, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Project Manager. Traditionally, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup attracts a field of international and top- class drivers: the registered competitors come from 15 countries, with guest drivers supplementing the grid over the season. -

newsroom Motorsports Jul 22, 2018 Nick Yelloly scores second win of the season at the Hockenheimring Nick Yelloly scored a commanding lights-to-flag victory at round five of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup on the Hockenheimring Baden- Württemberg. This triumph marks the Englishman’s second win of the season. “I got away well at the start and that laid the foundation for my win. To drive unchallenged at the front of the field might look easy, but you have to be totally concentrated over the entire distance. And I succeeded in that,” said Yelloly (Fach Auto Tech). At the wheel of his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Mattia Drudi (Dinamic Motorsport) from Italy took the flag in second place, with Michael Ammermüller (BWT Lechner Racing) from Germany crossing the finish line in third. Under cloudy skies and in 24-degree Celsius temperatures, Yelloly pulled clear of the field immediately after the start. After 14 laps, the driver from Sollihull in the UK swept over the finish line in first, 3.6-seconds ahead of Drudi. Behind Yelloly, gripping battles for positions developed on the storied German racetrack. Taking up the race from the third grid spot, Drudi immediately put Mikkel Pedersen (MRS GT-Racing) in front of him under pressure. In lap three, the 20-year-old overtook the Dane, which the Italian from Misano Adriatico defended until the flag. “In the final laps my tyres deteriorated more and more, so I didn’t want to take too much of a risk. This is my second podium finish after Silverstone and that’s of course fantastic,” said Drudi. -

Po e marrim si të vërtetë. Përpara se të vrasin këto kafshë të gjora nën pretekstin për të zgjidhur problemet klimatike, le të ndalojnë ose të pakësojnë garat motorrike si Formula 1, të cilat në një garë të një dite të vetme, emetojnë më shumë gaz karbonik sesa emetojnë devetë gjatë gjithë vitit. Le të analizojmë problemet e shumta për mjedisin dhe klimën që sjellin garat motorrike, duke marrë si shembull Formula 1, që është më ndotësi nga garat motorrike dhe të shohim se sa e dëmton natyrën. Një nga problemet e shumta për mjedisin dhe klimën, që vjen si pasojë e garave të Formula 1 është çlirimi i dioksidit të karbonit nga djegia e karburantit për një garë, e cila nuk sjell asnjë të mirë materiale për njerëzit. Kjo djegie karburanti nuk është e domosdoshme si ajo e traktorit, që punon tokën për ta mbjellur, apo e autobusit, që transporton pasagjerë nevojtarë nga një vend në një tjetër. Sipas Uikipedias një makinë e zakonshme e garës Formula 1 djeg 75 litra karburant për 100 km të përshkuara. Pra 0.75 litra karburant të djegur, lëshojnë rreth 1737 gram dioksid karboni për një kilometër, sasi kjo që është pothuajse nëntë herë më shumë se sasia e dioksidit të karbonit që lëshojnë makinat normale. 1 Dhe gjatë një sezoni garash, ku përdoren afërsisht 100,000 litra karburant, i takon të prodhohet 231 ton dioksid karboni për çdo makinë.
