Private sector Housing team works to improve the condition of housing in the private sector, focussing on the health and safety of residents. They also work to bring empty properties back into use.

The HMO and Licensing team works on the mandatory licensing (3 storeys or 2

Although Ealing Council tried to have more areas included in 2010 as additional licensing areas the government did not approve it – only 6 wards were allowed across Ealing; Green, Southall Broadway, Broadway, , Acton Central and South Acton – and this runs out in April this year.

In addition the ward forum has allocated £15,000 investment to the 60 Trees Way footpath which runs from Stockdove Way to the Road East 3

No Note Action Point/Information - the parks service have been receiving complaints from users –it is used by cyclists and people with disabilities and the worst sections will be tarmacked - if the money is not needed to repair sections of Aintree and Bideford footway then the £10,000 can be used to do more of this path

There will also be capital investment in the changing rooms, either refurbishment of 4 existing units or the demolition and replacement.

A team of officers (Neighbourhood governance Team) dedicated to providing you additional support when matters become complicated or you need some advice.

We’ve got an excellent website that is easy to navigate and is packed with useful advice and information to help you with getting a project going. We’re using Twitter and Facebook to get our messages to as many people as possible so I’d urge all of you that are active on social media to follow us and help boost our presence. I’m very excited about the opportunities offered by this new 5

Cllr Charan Sharma introduced the Bubble Springtime Community Fund.

The Bubble Springtime Community Fund is a small scale funding scheme that seeks to encourage residents and local groups to help make a real difference to neighbourhoods. It promotes the delivery of community based projects that will support community empowerment and help to unlock the community’s strength, assets and resources.

Ealing’s Community Champions Fund has allocated £10,000 for community groups, businesses or public agencies to apply for between £50-£500. Just read the attached guidelines and fill in the application form and make sure we received the signed version by 10pm Sunday 22 February 2015.

Projects will need to focus on 4 things:

Better neighbourhoods Increased community engagement Working smartly together Lasting Impact on your local neighbourhood

Please apply if you are interested in getting a bit of help to do something good in your neighbourhood – just make sure your group is able to provide receipts for the things you are asking for.

Resident asked about having covenants but was advised that these are very hard to maintain.

Residents asked about surrounding infrastructure such as schools, and affordable housing and social housing. From the viability study which looks at costs- bearing in mind they have to follow requirements of English Heritage – there is a formula that is used and there is not enough scope to include social affordable housing. Also, the flats will be 1 or 2 bed units rather than family units – but there will still be a contribution to a s106.

Resident asked about land on Bideford Road belonging to and s 106 funds or perhaps that it would be better used for more development – IDM Properties offered to talk to Tescos about this.

Resident asked about landscaping – and requested planting behind the railing 7

This is classified as local amenity green space and will remain so – the land is believed to be owned by Thames Water with a water mains pipe or sewer below. Tescos have a lease on it but they will see if tescos will give them rights over the land and will try to landscape it. However, some of the flats will have balconies

Residents mentioned noise issues from air conditioning equipment on the roof – the air conditioning for the new development is to be housed in the roof space

It is envisaged that the planning and consultation process will take about3-4 months and they hope to start building in September or October and it will take about 1 year. The units will be around £250k and will be long leases.

Residents wanted it noted that the s 106 should be spent in Perivale for the benefit of Perivale

Residents heard of plans to changes to the Vanguard building and a possible KFC and that TfL are conducting two surveys in this area.
