Although Ealing Council tried to have more areas included in 2010 as additional licensing areas the government did not approve it – only 6 wards were allowed across Ealing; Southall Green, Southall Broadway, Greenford Broadway, East Acton, Acton Central and South Acton – and this runs out in April this year. We know there are more people who want to be involved in activities which engage their neighbours and create vibrant neighbourhoods When you need help and support with local issues, you can often find the solution on your doorstep, with support from your neighbours. We want to make it easier for residents and community groups to take part in events and activities that can benefit their local area. An attractive and simple website, easy to navigate to find the information you need to support your ideas and projects. Enabling local people to connect with each other on local issues. Helps to cut through the ‘red tape’ by providing information in simple steps. A website where you can find other like-minded people, advice, guidance and the all-important funding to support your projects. A team of officers (Neighbourhood governance Team) dedicated to providing you additional support when matters become complicated or you need some advice. We’ve got an excellent website that is easy to navigate and is packed with useful advice and information to help you with getting a project going. We’re using Twitter and Facebook to get our messages to as many people as possible so I’d urge all of you that are active on social media to follow us and help boost our presence. I’m very excited about the opportunities offered by this new 5 No Note Action Point/Information way of working and I am confident that, with your help, we will soon be making your local areas even better places to live, work and enjoy. There is more about Bubble pp24-25 Around Ealing Winter 2014/15 Cllr Charan Sharma introduced the Bubble Springtime Community Fund. The Bubble Springtime Community Fund is a small scale funding scheme that seeks to encourage residents and local groups to help make a real difference to neighbourhoods.
