Main Avenue Tucson, AZ 85701 COMPLAINT FOR DECLARATORY AND INJUNCTIVE RELIEF Plaintiff, v. Case No.: DAVID BERNHARDT, in his official capacity as Secretary of the United States Department of the Interior, 1849 C Street NW Washington, DC 20240 and AURELIA SKIPWITH, in her official capacity as Director of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, 1849 C Street NW Washington, DC 20240 Defendants. INTRODUCTION 1. In this action, the Center for Biological Diversity (“Center”) challenges the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (“Service” or “FWS”) failure to develop and implement a legally valid recovery plan for the Houston toad (Bufo houstonensis), in violation of the Endangered Species Act (“ESA”), 16 U.S.C. §§ 1531-1544. 2. The Service listed the Houston toad as “endangered” under the ESA nearly fifty years ago. Despite the continued imperiled status of this species, the Service has failed to complete a scientifically-based, legally valid recovery plan for the Houston toad. The ESA requires a recovery plan to organize and coordinate efforts to safeguard endangered species from Case 1:20-cv-00529 Document 1 Filed 02/24/20 Page 2 of 12 extinction and restore them from their imperiled state. The Service issued a document styled as a “Recovery Plan” for the Houston toad in 1984 [hereinafter “1984 ‘Recovery Plan’ document”], but the Service itself admitted in 2011that this document lacked basic components of a recovery plan.

  • High-Hise Building Oata Base
High-Hise Building Oata Base Since the inception of the Council, various surveys have been made con cerning the location, number of stories, height, material, and use of tall buildings around the world. The first report on these surveys was published in the Council's Proceedings of the First International Conference in 1972. TaU Building Systems and Concepts (Volume SC) brought that information up to date with a detailed survey in 1980. Changes to some of the data were reflected in Developments in TaU Buildings-1983, with further updating in Advances in TaU Buildings (January, 1986), High-Rise Buildings: Recent Progress (November, 1986), and TaU Build ings 0/ the World (February, 1987). This present volume provides the newer information more recently received. The original survey was based mainly on information collected from individuals in the major cities of the world. The main criterion for the selection of a city was generally its population. Another criterion was the availability of a Council member or other contact who might provide the needed information. This Appendix updates Table l. Because the data came from so many sourees, complete accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Buildings change names or new ones break ground, and this information is sometimes slow in reaching the Council headquarters. In this sense the survey keeps its nature as a "living document." Additions and corrections to the information presented here are welcomed, and should be brought to the attention of Council Headquarters at Lehigh University. 1003 1004 Second Century of the Skyscraper Table 1: World's TaUest Buildings. This is a list of the world's 100 tallest buildings.

My paintings and drawings are based on my studies out of the Sky View Observatory in Columbia Center. I am looking to express the essential qualities of the scene such as through the atmosphere or the gesture of the buildings. I concentrated on Seattle’s overcast weather in order to show the essential qualities that are unique to this area; thus, this body of work investigates a sense of a place. My paintings are a result of my observations and intuition; this body of work shows the impression a scene makes on my perception.
