Each choir must sing a folk song and I composed a work based on Miguel de Cervantes words: Ausencias de Dulcinea. Happily it won an award, and of course, this was a great boost for my career as a choral composer. JS: I started singing in the choir when I was a teenager. This kind of music shaped my sensitivity.
