For Kwik – as previous years allow flexibility. Reminder 2. The ball can be caught after it strikes a helmet which is being worn by a fielder or the wicket-keeper Reminder 3. A batsman can now be Run out if the ball rebounds directly from a fielder’s helmet onto the stumps . Reminder 4. The restriction on a stumping not being allowed if the ball rebounds from the helmet has been lifted. Reminder 5 Bat Sizes. This part of the New Law comes in 2020 for all Recreational cricket Reminder 6. For non-pitching deliveries, all deliveries, irrespective of their speed, which pass above waist height of the upright striker are to trigger the sanctions but the initial warning is dispensed with and only a first and final warning will be given for each type of dangerous bowling before the bowler is suspended. Agreed for u13, u15 and u17. For u11H, to be called No ball but no sanctions Reminder 7. Players Conduct. Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 do not apply however coach of offending team to be advised that this sort of behavior must not continue. Any serious Player Conduct Offences to be reported by the umpires to [email protected] for further action. GD will contact the club concerned. Reminder 8 Ball bouncing over head height of striker’ such balls are to be called as No balls. 7 KWIK RULES 2018 Kwik is intended as an introduction to cricket for very young boys and girls and whilst it is recognised that cricket is a competitive game the prime purpose of Kwik is that children in safety can enjoy the game without too much pressure. For 2018 – the matches will be played on a NON-League basis ie Festivals on Friday Evenings. Evenings rained off may be replayed. End date for this competition is Aug 24 1. Each pair will face two overs regardless of how many times they are dismissed. Batsmen will change ends so that any dismissed batsman does not face the next delivery. All normal ways of dismissal except L.B.W. will apply. Note! Each team must provide an umpire (who may give advice) and a scorer. Umpires must ensure that strikers do not face the next ball after being dismissed. The Umpires decision is final. b. Bowling Each player will bowl one six ball over with over arm action. No ball must be called if the ball does not pitch over the ‘pitching line’ OR passes without pitching (or would have passed without pitching) above waist height of the batsman standing upright in his/her normal stance position irrespective of whether the ball is struck or is out of reach of the batsman.
