By Ethan Gunnlaugsson 137 Intellectual Property Theft and its Impact on the US-China Relationship Amy Holmes Abstract Growing in frequency in recent years, theft of United States intellectual property by China has become a serious concern for the US government. This theft impacts many areas of US life including increased cost of goods, diffculty participating in international trade, and increased national security concerns. This paper looks at three areas of intellectual property theft: patent theft, copyright theft, and trade secret theft, using specifc examples of each. In examining each of these examples, we discuss the implications of this theft for US citizens as well as the relationship between the United States and Chinese governments. This paper concludes that Chinese intellectual property theft has a signifcant negative impact on the relationship

Montgomery County will open 39 Election Day Vote Centers on November 3, 2020, from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. On Election Day you may vote at any one of Montgomery County’s 39 Election Day Vote Centers. Most polling places will be closed due to the pandemic. Instead, you may vote at any vote center. Same-day registration is available with proof of residency. Due to the pandemic, we will limit the number of people inside vote centers at one time and distance voting booths at least six feet apart. This will result in longer lines and wait times. For the closest Election Day vote center and wait-times, text VC plus your ZIP code to 77788 (Example: VC 20879). Maryland's voting system offers features for accessibility. Please ask the Election Judge about your options. Before you are given a ballot, an Election Judge will tell you, "You have two ways to mark your ballot - either by hand or with the electronic device. Which do you prefer?" You will choose how to mark your ballot. If you requested a ballot by mail, please vote that ballot. There will be a drop box at every in- person voting center, so you can skip the line and drop off your ballot.
