If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation, Police, Fire and Ambulance services are available if you dial ‘000’ – a free call from all phones. Perth’s universities have a range of affordable on-campus accommodation options available for international students. They are clean and modern, with great facilities, recreation and entertainment programs that can open the door to new friendships and fun. Alternatively, you can choose to rent a private house, or share with other flatmates to split costs. When you’re away from your family and religious community, it’s important to know that you’ll receive appropriate support. Homestay families or student accommodation providers will always respect and provide for your religious and dietary requirements. Tertiary institutions in WA have chaplains who can put you in touch with members of the Baha’i, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Jain, Jewish, Sikh and other faith communities.
