‘CHARLIE & ME’ CAST BIOS TOM BOSLEY (Charlie Baker) – Tom Bosley has been enjoying a remarkable career in entertainment for more than 50 years and has had great success in theatre, film and television. In 1959, Bosley was chosen by George Abbott to star in the Broadway musica,l Fiorello, for which he won the Tony Award. His motion picture debut was in 1962 when he landed a co-starring role opposite Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen in “Love With A Proper Stranger.” After that he continued his film success, working with stars such as Peter Sellers, Angela Lansbury, Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball and Paul Newman. Bosley also found success in television, and has worked on more than 500 television productions. For 11 years he starred in “Happy Days,” one of the most successful TV series of all time, for which he received two Emmy ® nominations. He then teamed up with Angela Lansbury again for four years on the hit series “Murder, She Wrote,” after which he went on to do his own series, “The Father Dowling Mysteries.” In 1995, Bosley returned to the stage, starring as Belle’s Father in Beauty and the Beast in New York and Los Angeles. Afterwards he joined the National Company of Showboat as Cap’n Andy and toured with the production for 18 months. Bosley also recently returned to Broadway, starring in the never-ending production of Cabaret, and just finished up a national tour of On Golden Pond opposite Michael Lerned. When asked why, after 59 years in show business he hasn’t yet retired, he replied “actors spend half their career in retirement!” ### JORDY BENATTAR (Casey Baker) – Thirteen-year-old Jordy Benattar was born on November 25 in Toronto, Ontario. She will appear in the 2008 film “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” based on the fantasy novels by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, playing ‘Young Lucinda,’ the childhood version of one of the main characters, and Great Aunt to the book’s main characters, the Grace Twins. Jordy recently appeared in the Hallmark Hall of Fame Film “Fallen Angel” with Gary Sinese, for which the cast received a CAMIE (more) HALLMARK CHANNEL/ ‘CHARLIE & ME’ – Cast Bios – Page 2 (Character and Morality in Entertainment) Award, and in the CBS television movie “A Very Married Christmas” with Joe Mantagna and Jean Smart. ### JAMES GALLANDERS (Jeffrey Baker) – Born in Scarborough, Ontario, James Gallanders recently starred in the film adaptation of the Romeo Dallaire autobiography “Shake Hands With the Devil,” and has appeared on numerous television shows including “Kevin Hill,” “Queer as Folk,” “Millenium” and “Mutant X.” James recently co- starred in the TV movie “Earthstorm” for Sci Fi and has appeared in several films, including “Saw 2,” “Bride of Chucky” with Katherine Hiegl and Jennifer Tilly and the 1997 film “Murder at 1600,” starring Wesley Snipes and Diane Lane. ### CARA PIFKO (Dr. Fran Gilford) – Toronto native Cara Pifko has appeared and starred in several shows for the Canadian Broadcast Company. A graduate of the National Theater School of Canada, she had a role in the Albert Brooks comedy “The In Laws,” and has guest-starred in several television shows, including “Without a Trace” and “CSI Miami.” She is the recipient of a Best Actress Gemini Award (awarded by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television) for her work in the CBC legal drama “This is Wonderland,” and also co-starred in the critically-acclaimed CBC miniseries “Human Cargo.” In 2002, she played opposite William Hurt and David Strathairn in the CBS TV movie “Master Spy: The Robert Hanssen Story,” as Hanssen’s wife. -- HALLMARK CHANNEL -- .
