UNITED STATES AIR FORCE MAJOR GENERAL KENNETH T. BIBB JR. Maj. Gen. Kenneth T. Bibb Jr. is the Commander, 18th Air Force, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. As Air Mobility Command’s sole numbered air force, 18th Air Force ensures readiness and sustainment of approximately 36,000 active duty, Air Force Reserve and civilian Airmen at 12 wings and one stand-alone group. With more than 400 aircraft, 18th AF supports AMC’s worldwide mission of providing rapid global mobility to America’s armed forces through airlift, aerial refueling and aeromedical evacuation. Maj. Gen. Bibb received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 1991. He is a command pilot with more than 5,000 hours in the C-5, C-12, C-17, C-21, T-37, T-38 and KC-135. He has commanded at the squadron and wing levels. As a general officer, he was the Commander, 618th Air Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center). Prior to his current assignment, he was Director, Air Space and Cyberspace Operations, and later Director, Strategic Plans, Programs, Requirements, and Analyses, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
