2020 MARLBOROUGH SAUVIGNON BLANC HISTORY Made in Blenheim, the wine capital of New Zealand, FRENZY Sauvignon Blanc is produced by Paua Bay Wines and is a carefully made blend of the best wines from selected vineyards. Capturing the spirit of New Zealand, FRENZY is crisp, refreshing, vibrant, aromatic and energetic with hints of peach, grapefruit, lime, melon and fresh cut grass. New Zealand produces what many wine critics consider the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc, so drink up the FRENZY. VINEYARDS FRENZY Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from selected vineyards located in New Zealand’s famous Marlborough region, which is ideally suited to this varietal. The soil is composed of volcanic Greywacke stones and alluvial river silt VINTAGE NOTES 2020 has produced a ‘classic’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The grow- ing season was perfect with a long, warm, dry summer and minimal rain prior to harvest. Harvest began in the first week of March and was completed two weeks later. The resulting wine is fruit-driven and concentrated, complemented by strong aromatics. This is a great example of one of Marlborough’s best vintages for some time. VINIFICATION The grapes were gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation was conducted at low temperatures (12-14C) to retain the wines strong and appealing aromatics. TASTING NOTES Intensely aromatic and lively with ﬂavors of peach, grapefruit, lime, melon and cut grass. This is a crisp, refreshing, vibrant and aromatic example of Marlborough’s best Sauvignon Blanc that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, or match with seafood. The inland road to Kaikoura was opened on Thursday morning, but only for trucks and four- wheel drive vehicles as it remained unstable and badly damaged. A convoy of 27 army vehicles loaded with relief supplies was immediately sent to the town.
