Josie is the Artistic Director of the , .

Josie was born and raised in Salford and read English at Cambridge before training under at the Donmar Warehouse. She became trainee Associate Director at the Royal Court before taking up the role of Associate Director at Sheffield .

Josie was appointed Artistic Director at the , London in 2007 and during her tenure oversaw the acquisition and transfer of the theatre to its new home on the Uxbridge Road, winning Theatre of the Year 2011.
