She will give you your packet with your HAWAIIAN AIRLINES “E Ticket Receipt” and luggage tags prior to check-in. Due to tight airport security, you will be checking in individually or as a family. Please have your passport ready. After check-in, you may want to head to the TSA line. Your departure gate will be either C or E gates in Terminal #2 of the Main International Airport. 2:10p.m. Depart Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines Flt.#441 bound for Sapporo/ Chitose, non-stop. In-flight meals (lunch and snack) and complimentary soft drinks & liquor will be served. ** Complimentary In-flight Movies only on International flights **Bring your own Earphones** Tuesday, June 29 Sapporo/ Chitose ____________ 5:50p.m. Arrival into Sapporo Chitose International Airport. Upon arrival immigration and customs procedures are required. Please pickup your own luggage(s) in the baggage claim area. For your convenience, please use the baggage cart for your luggage. At the arrival lobby, you will be met by your English speaking tour guide from Tokyo, Ms. Akiko Sasaki. Walk over to Chitose Domestic Terminal Building to AIR TERMINAL HOTEL for 1 night stay. After check-in, you could have dinner at one of the restaurants on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal or take out food and/or bento located on the 2nd floor. Wednesday, June 30 Chitose – Hakodate, Hokkaido 6:00-8:00a.m. Breakfast at hotel located on the 3rd floor. 8:15a.m. Check-out of the hotel. 8:20a.m. Please be at the hotel lobby area. 8:30a.m. Depart for your tour to Hakodate. Along the way you will be stopping at SHIKABE GEYSER PARK where you can feel the breath of nature through the power of the beating thermal heat. While resting your feet in a hot foot bath, you can watch the Miracle Show that will take your breath away with its 100-degree boiling water shooting 15 meters into the air every 10-15 minutes. Lunch on your own at your expense. Shikabe Geyser Park Ashiyu (Foot Onsen) Century Marina Onsen Spa on the 14th floor After lunch, last stop at MICHI no EKI “NANAIRO NANAE” before arriving at the hotel. 5:00p.m. Arrive at the newly opened, HOTEL & SPA CENTURY MARINA HAKODATE for 2 nights stay, Western rooms with onsen within the hotel property and overlooking Hakodate Bay. **coin laundry available ** The JR Hakodate Train Station and Donburi Yokocho is about a 10 minute walk from your hotel. ( B ) Thursday, July 01 Hakodate ______________________ 6:30a.m.(starts) Breakfast at the hotel. 8:30a.m. A full day tour of HAKODATE. First stop, the famous Hakodate Asaichi (morning market). It opens from 5:00a.m. At the market, you will see lots of various seafoods, dried products, & fresh fruits. We recommend the shoyu butter sauté scallops (vacuum packed individually and the giant ika seen below) from Aoyama Suisan. Hakodate Morning Market Goryokaku Tower 10:00a.m. Depart hotel for GORYOKAKU PARK and GORYOKAKU TOWER. Goryokaku Tower overlooks the Goryokaku Fort and Mt. Hakodate, a small mountain, 334 meters high which offers great views of the city of Hakodate. Lunch at RESTAURANT WINNING. After lunch, Drive-by MOTOMACHI, where there are unique western-influenced buildings, more than a century old, and traditional Japanese buildings still remain in the city to this day. MT. HAKODATE ROPEWAY, it takes 3 minutes to get to the summit from the base station. On a clear day in particular, the views from Mt. Hakodate is spectacular. Mt. Hakodate Ropeway & the View 3:30p.m. Return back to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. ( B , L ) Friday, July 02 Hakodate – Shikotsu/Toya – Noboribetsu___ 6:30a.m.(starts) Breakfast at the hotel. 7:45a.m. Check-out of the hotel. 8:00a.m. Bus departs for SHIKOTSU- TOYA NATIONAL PARK and NOBORIBETSU. It takes 2 hours and 30 minutes so we will make a 5-4-4 stop along the way. Showa Shinzan and Mt Usu are the major attractions of Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Mt. Showa Shizan is a small volcano designated as a special natural monument. 11:45a.m. Japanese lunch at a ICHIBANKAN, local restaurant at Showa Shinzan. 12:45p.m. After lunch continue on to NOBORIBETSU ONSEN, one of the many well known resorts in Japan. Noboribetsu is the largest “hot spring town” in Hokkaido. 1:35p.m. NOBORIBETSU DATE JIDAIMURA VILLAGE, a historical theme park devoted to the Edo Period, the most beautiful era in Japanese history. Every detail inside the park feels like you went back in time: the attendants wear traditional Japanese attire, the pathway is covered with cobblestones, and even the buildings look like you’re inside a movie set. 2:05p.m. Oiran Show (30 minutes) at Japanese Culture Theater. 3:40p.m. Ninja Show(20 minutes) at Kasumi Ninja House. We’re able to view 2 shows: Oiran Show at 2:05pm for 30 minutes and Ninja Show at 3:40pm for 20 minutes. 4:30p.m. Depart Jidaimura Village for our last stop, JIGOKUDANI or “Hell Valley”. 4:45p.m. JIGOKUDANI or "Hell Valley" a spectacular and appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. It is a main source of Noboribetsu's Onsen, hot spring waters. 5:30p.m. Arrive at your hotel in Noboribetsu, 1 night stay at HOTEL MAHOROBA in the western style room. The hotel features 31 different onsens. Mahoroba Onsen 6:00p.m. Fabulous Buffet Dinner at the hotel. After dinner, enjoy onsen. ( B, L, D ) Saturday, July 03 Noboribetsu – Furano _____ 6:30-8:00a.m. Breakfast at hotel. 8:15a.m. Check-out of your hotel. 8:30a.m. Bus departs for FURANO with one stop at NOBORIBETSU BEAR PARK. Noboribetsu Bear Park is located at the top of Mount Shiho-rei, the mountain is commonly called “Bear Mountain”, which is 560 meters high. You need to take a ropeway ride from the Noboribetsu Hot Spring town to the park. On the top of the mountain, there is also the Kuttara Observatory. From here there is a great view of Lake Kuttarako, a lake which has the 2nd clearest water in Japan. You can see Ezo bears, they are the largest species of animal in Japan also in Hokkaido and were worshiped by Ainu, the native Hokkaido people, as the God. Lunch on your own at Service Area Restaurant on our way to Furano. BIEI BLUE POND (Aoiike) is named after it’s deep blue color which it owes to natural minerals dissolved in the water. The pond is part of an erosion control system that was built to prevent damage to Biei in case of an eruption by nearby Mount Tokachidake. 5:00p.m. Arrive at NEW FURANO PRINCE HOTEL for 2 night stays. Western style hotel rooms with natural onsen facilities within the hotel premises. **coin laundry available ** 6:00p.m. Buffet dinner at the hotel. ( B, D ) Sunday, July 04 Furano ____________________ 6:30- 8:15a.m. Breakfast at hotel. 8:30a.m. Sightseeing around Furano area. First stop, TOMITA FARM, one of the oldest lavender fields in Japan. At their café, you can try theirfamous Melon Bread (inside this bread is cream containing Furano melon juice, baked in the shop), Lavender Milk Popsicle, and Lavender soft-serve ice cream. After lunch, SHIKISAI no OKA (Hill), enjoy the colorful flowers and spectacular views in the Shikisai-no-oka flower garden while riding around Shikisai-no-oka and the surrounding areas on the popular Norokko tractor bus. Norokko is a very popular ride that takes a slow run through the park which is filled with the rich fragrance of flowers and offers spectacular views of the hills, Mt. Daisetsu, and the flower garden. Last stop, FURANO CHEESE FACTORY, visitors can observe the production process of the local camembert type cheese from behind windows. Cheese samples, including those of a black cheese colored by squid ink, can be tasted in the factory shop. At the factory, you will be hands on making ice cream from fresh Furano milk. 4:00p.m. Return back to NEW FURANO PRINCE HOTEL. 6:00p.m. Dinner at the hotel. ( B, D ) Monday, July 05 Furano - Asahikawa__________ 6:30- 8:15a.m. Breakfast at hotel. 7:45a.m. Check out of the hotel. 8:00a.m. Depart for ASAHIKAWA via Kamikawa. DAISETSUZAN ASAHIDAKE is the highest mountain in Hokkaido, we will be taking a ropeway round trip. The mountain is popular with hikers during the summer season. Asahidake Ropeway Hokkaido Ice Pavillion Spa Facility at Art Hotel Asahikawa Lunch at “Kita no Mori Garden” in Kamikawa. After lunch, HOKKAIDO ICE PAVILLION. This is the first museum in the world to provide the chilling experience of Hokkaido throughout the whole year Your last stop for the day will be at Ginga No Taki (Milky Way Fall) and Ryusei No Taki (Shooting Stars Fall).
