Car manufacturer focuses on ergonomics JST solutions: Since the screens behind the worktop are lowered by ten centimetres, an unobstructed view of the hall is possible. It also lowers the line of sight from the horizontal by 35° and ensures a relaxed head tilt (recommendation of the professional association for administrative staff). The specialists from Jungmann Systemtechnik at BMW’s Dingolfing plant have overcome an extraordinary challenge. The central energy control center of the plant was to be rebuilt while the plant was in operation. “We were able to complete this special task to the satisfaction of all involved”, Christian Beck, Head of Technics of the JST team, sums up. In accordance with customer requirements, Jungmann employees equipped the Bavarian car manufacturer’s control center with operator desks from the StratosX11 furniture system, which was specially developed for control rooms. Those responsible at BMW AG were particularly concerned with workplace ergonomics for the employees in the control center, which is manned around the clock. In order to meet these requirements, special tables were installed in Dingolfing which can be moved continuously and by electric motor to the optimum sitting or standing position. Around 1,250 cars of the BMW 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series and 8 Series roll off the assembly lines every day. In total, almost 285,000 vehicles were built at the plant in 2019. Home of BMW’s large model series. Dingolfing is traditionally known as the production site for BMW’s large model series. Since the early 1970s, every generation of the BMW 5, 6 and 7 Series has been built here, including the respective M and Individual variants. The new BMW 7 Series Sedan, the brand’s flagship and innovation driver, is also “made in Dingolfing”. In recent years, the plant’s model portfolio has been expanded to include variants of the BMW 3 and 4 Series as well, and from July 2018, the new BMW 8 Series. Press Release February 2014 -BMW M6 Gran Coupé is the anniversary vehicle BMW Group hands over nine-millionth vehicle from Dingolfing production site Dingolfing. BMW Plant Dingolfing has reached another milestone: Last Saturday, Dirk Werner, BMW driver in the German Touring Car Championship DTM, and Robert Küssel, Head of Assembly, presented the nine-millionth BMW vehicle made in Dingolfing to its new owners, Dirk and Heidi Schulz from Hamburg. The anniversary vehicle is a BMW M6 Gran Coupé in Tanzanite Blue metallic. Now in its third generation, the BMW 6 Series makes an important contribution to securing the BMW Group’s success. In 2013 alone, approx. 26,000 of the large BMW Coupés were delivered to customers around the world. In March of last year, BMW Plant Dingolfing celebrated the start of production of the most exclusive way to experience a BMW M vehicle: the BMW M6 Gran Coupé, the BMW Group’s most high-performance, four-door luxury coupe. The BMW 6 Series has a long tradition at the Dingolfing site: In summer 1978, the plant started to manufacture the BMW 635 CSi, to be complemented only a short time later by the BMW M635 CSi. At a top speed of 255 km/h, this sports coupé made BMW history as the fastest BMW four-seater model of all times. (Ernst Ferstl) Liebe Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger, zufrieden blicken wir wieder auf ein ereignisreiches, arbeitsreiches und erfolgreiches Jahr zurück. Hohe Investitionen wurden wieder getätigt: in die Sanierung/Modernisierung der Kläranlage in Kronwieden, in die Fertigstellung der Erschließungs- maßnahmen der Baugebiete „Kronwiedstraße-Süd“ , „Erweiterung Zeppelinstraße“ und „Gewerbegebiets- erweiterung Kronwieden“, in den Straßenbau und in den Erwerb von Bauerwartungsland. Die positive Entwicklung bei den Geburten führt zu einem höheren Bedarf an Krippenplätzen. Um diesem Anspruch gerecht zu werden, plant die Gemeinde Loiching den Neubau eines Kindergartens (KiBiZL) bei der Grundschule in Kronwieden. Zur Deckung des vordringlichen Bedarfs wurde als Zwischenlösung das Obergeschoss des Feuerwehrgerätehauses zu einer Kleinkindgruppe umgebaut. Unter dem Motto „Loiching blüht auf - traditionell, modern, innovativ“ wird die Gemeinde Loiching auch im Jahre 2019 weitere Planungen und Maßnahmen in Angriff nehmen, beispielsweise Tiefbau- und Straßenbaumaßnahmen, Baugebietser- schließung, Breitbandausbau, Radwegebau, Hochwasserschutz, Klimaschutz und einiges mehr – insgesamt sind in 2019 fast 4 Mio € an Investitionen geplant.
