Now the younger generation is growing, promising us new victories. We decided to hold an international tournament for players at the age of eight. During the three-day tournament, young football players from different countries will be able to meet, make friends, take in the spirit of a competition. Our idea is to create an exciting atmosphere of a holiday, competition, football festival, where there is no room for division, but only the satisfaction of the game. We invite you to take part in the First International challenge cup «FSHM CUP» among team players born in 2012, which will be held at one of the largest sports complexes in the world - Luzhniki Olympic Complex. The tournament is organized by one of the oldest football academies in Russia – FSHM (founded in 1954). Several teams from the best football academies of the world will also be invited, which will be a surprise both for the guests and the participants of the Cup. The size of the football field is 30x40 m. Team-winners of the tournament will be awarded special prizes. Best players will also be awarded special prizes, all participants will get memorable gifts. During the matches of the tournament the representatives of the teams must have ID cards for all players and present them on the chief referee`s demand. Teams must have the original registration forms and confirmed medical visas and insurence. Tournament organizers are not responsible for the health of the players.   • The Politics of Soccer Celebrity
    Messi, Ronaldo, and the Politics of Celebrity Elections: Voting For the Best Soccer Player in the World Christopher J. Anderson London School of Economics and Political Science Luc Arrondel Paris School of Economics André Blais University of Montréal Jean-François Daoust McGill University Jean-François Laslier Paris School of Economics Karine Van der Straeten Toulouse School of Economics Abstract It is widely assumed that celebrities are imbued with political capital and the power to move opinion. To understand the sources of that capital in the specific domain of sports celebrity, we investigate the popularity of global soccer superstars. Specifically, we examine players’ success in the Ballon d’Or – the most high profile contest to select the world’s best player. Based on historical election results as well as an original survey of soccer fans, we find that certain kinds of players are significantly more likely to win the Ballon d’Or. Moreover, we detect an increasing concentration of votes on these kinds of players over time, suggesting a clear and growing hierarchy in the competition for soccer celebrity. Further analyses of support for the world’s two best players in 2016 (Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo) show that, if properly adapted, political science concepts like partisanship have conceptual and empirical leverage in ostensibly non-political contests.
