New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island Newfoundland and Labrador New Brunswick is one of Canada’s most eastern provinces. Most of New Brunswick is covered with forests. There are many dairy farms in New Brunswick and other farms growing crops such as fruit (ex: apples, blueberries) and vegetables such as potatoes. Wood products such as paper are made from trees cut from New Brunswick forests. Fredericton is New Brunswick’s capital city. Many visitors go to the Bay of Fundy to see the highest tides in the world and the unusual rock formations.

Black-capped Chickadee Nova Scotia is almost completely surrounded by water and is Canada’s second smallest province. Fishing has been an important industry in Nova Scotia. It is a large exporter of lobster to other countries around the world. Mining is also an important industry. There are many little towns in Nova Scotia. Mayflower Osprey Prince Edward Island is Canada’s smallest province. It is known for its rolling hills, beaches and red soil. There are many farms on Prince Edward Island and many of them are potato farms. You can also find oreo cows on some farms. Fishing is another important industry in Prince Edward Island. Many people come to Prince Edward Island to visit the places made famous in novels written by Lucy Maude Montgomery about Anne of Green Gables. Lady’s Slipper Newfoundland is Canada’s most eastern province. It includes the mainland of Labrador and the island of Newfoundland. It’s land is rocky and touches the Atlantic Ocean. Summers are cool and winters can be very cold. Fishing, mining for iron ore and drilling for oil off the coast of Newfoundland are important industries.
