DREAM THE END ANNOUNCES MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE THE RAPTURE’S “IN THE GRACE OF YOUR LOVE” AND EDITION 6 THE MUSIC EDITION WITH GUEST EDITOR JONATHAN GALKIN

FEBRUARY 14, 2012 - DREAM THE END is excited to announce the music video premiere for “In The Grace of Your Love” the title track from The RAPTURE’s new album. Inspired by 1960’s French films and James Turrell light spaces, the shoot took place in a Chelsea studio with Creative Director Melissa Jones and her partner Markus Griesshammer behind the camera. The video for “In The Grace of Your Love” will premiere at an intimate event at Rose Bar at The Gramercy Park Hotel on Valentine’s Day night, followed by a special live performance from the band. The video will launch online exclusively on DreamTheEnd.com February 14 at 10:30 p.m. EST.

“We created Dream The End to be a platform for art, music, and words to be enjoyed harmoniously in one space online. The RAPTURE video project was the perfect fit for our first production. We are excited to collaborate with Rose Bar at The Gramercy Park Hotel for the video premiere, its extensive modern art collection and exclusive live music sessions made it the perfect venue for the launch of our collaboration,” says Melissa Jones, Creative Director for Dream The End / DTE Studio.

The RAPTURE mixes influences from post-punk, acid house, disco, and electronica. The band is known for pioneering the post-punk revival in the early 2000’s and incorporating dance and electronic elements into their sound. Previous albums include Echoes (2003) and Pieces of the People We Love (2006). Their latest album, In The Grace of Your Love, was released on DFA Records in September 2011.

In honor of the launch of The RAPTURE’s video on DreamTheEnd.com, Edition 6 will be a special, all-music edition guest-edited by Jonathan Galkin, label manager of DFA Records. Galkin co-founded DFA Records in 2001 with James Murphy & Tim Goldsworthy. DFA Records has become the creative laboratory for numerous cutting-edge artists including The Rapture, Hercules & Love Affair, Holy Ghost!, YACHT, Hot Chip and The Juan Maclean, and Murphy’s own now-retired band LCD Soundsystem.

For EDITION 6, Galkin curated 50 tracks that represent the kind of music played at the DFA offices, “titles that are obscure, exciting and very unexpected” says Galkin. The “loverz rock” mixtape featured on the front page was also created by Galkin especially for Valentine’s Day. EDITION 6 goes live on DreamTheEnd.com February 14th at 10:30pm EST.
