For the first time in the history of German numismatics, an official collector coin will be finished with the rare metal niobium: the 10 euro polymer ring coin “On Water”. Moreover, the 25 euro collector coin in fine silver on the birth of Jesus will be produced as a dome-shaped coin. This type of dome-shaped minting creates a concave side, enabling a deeper relief and thus a more expressive impression. This is also a first in the history of collector coins in the Federal Republic of Germany. The 2021 programme thus offers a very diverse range of coins.
