Bus Timetables BUS TIMETABLES Commencing 21st1 April 2019 INFORMATION ON USING SANDERS BUS SERVICES For anyone unfamiliar or new to using bus services here are some useful tips: Please be at your stop in good time, we suggest 5 minutes before departure time, and when you see the bus approach the bus stop, put out your arm to clearly let our driver know you wish him, or her, to stop for you. On entering the bus if you have a concessionary smart card, place it on the card reader on the ticket machine. If you wish to pay by contactless card you should ask the driver for the fare you require and then, when asked to, put your card on the reader. You must check your ticket to ensure it is for the correct amount you expected to pay as mistakes or overcharges cannot be rectified after you leave the bus. If you don’t have a smart card you can pay by cash or apple pay. Take a seat and relax. If a seat is not available and you have to stand please hold on tight to one of the poles provided. On double deck vehicles if travelling a longer distance please consider leaving the seats downstairs for our more elderly passengers and those making shorter journey’s. If you have a child in a buggy you are welcome to use the wheelchair space if available to avoid collapsing it, however we hope that you will willingly vacate this space should a wheelchair user wish to board. Keep your ticket with you, check it is correct, keep it available to be checked, should our inspector board, and then dispose of it appropriately when you leave the bus unless it is a Return or Weekly then keep it safe. When you wish to leave the bus press the bell push / stop button on the upright stations that are throughout the bus and the driver will stop at the next bus stop. Fares and tickets. We currently have 3 classes of ticket – Adult – Child ( under 16 ) and a reduced cost 16 – 19 Inbetweener fare. We sell single, return and weekly travel tickets on bus – Season tickets are available from our head office. Tel 01263 712800 for prices and more information or email us on [email protected] We also sell all day Explorer tickets for those who need to travel on more than one of our services and a NEW coast rover tickets that will allow you unlimited Day travel on Coastal services of both Sanders and Lynx as well as all other Sanders Services. We accept all English National Concessionary Cards from all English Counties on all of our services between 09.30 and 23.00 Hrs Monday to Friday and all day Saturdays / Sundays and Bank Holidays. You must scan passes on every service you travel on otherwise we lose money and services may fail as a result. DOGS: We welcome dogs on all our services but do make a charge of 50p per dog per journey. Drivers will use their discretion about how many dogs they allow on the bus at one time. We have added a NEW all day £1.00 dog Rover ticket. Please keep dogs off of the bus seats in respect of the next traveller. Keep up to date with what is happening. We have an up to date website www.sanderscoaches.com go on it and have a look – We will do our best to advise of any roadworks or diversions that may affect your bus services. Journey Travel Planning There is opportunity for you to swap between any of our services to make longer journeys. We suggest that you consider Anglia Square as a change point on all services entering Norwich. This will save you time travelling to and from the bus station. For instance get off the X44 at Anglia Square to catch the X55 service to Nth Walsham. Otherwise a lot of services go through Cromer and Nth Walsham – check out the times you can create some great days out on the buses. Anglia Square is also the best place to swap to First Eastern Counties to catch their PINK LINE services 11 and 12 to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. Lost Property: If unfortunately you leave something behind on one of our vehicles you can telephone our lost property department between 09.00 and 1600 hrs Monday to Friday where we will do what we can to reunite you with the lost item. Tel: 01263 712800 or you can report it on e mail via our website. 2 INDEX Information & Timetables contained within this booklet Page No. Page No. 2 Useful Information on using Sanders Bus Services 2 3 Index of Bus Services Timetables and service updates. 3 32 Bus Route Map and Company contact Details 28 Service Number Route Description Days of Operation Page Nos. Box 1346 Ann Arbor, Ml 48106-1346 ilBSTRAGT The Cromer Moraine forms a distinctive geographical region near the coast of the northern part of the County of Norfolk. A pro nounced characteristic of this region is the vridespread cover of heatb-land, far less extensive than in former times. This heathland appears in its turn to have developed from an original woodland cover which was destroyed by the depredations of man and his domesticated animals . It has been necessary first to delimit the region as accurately as possible and this has been accomplished by means of a detailed study of local topography and of well-sections. The earliest evidence of the location of heathland comes from tlie Domesday Survey and this has been confirmed by references to heathland in various other documents dovm to 1750. By the middle of the eighteenth century the new developments in agriculture^ or ’Norfolk Husbandry’ as it was called, became widely known and practised, resulting in this region in a greatly accelerated reclama tion of heathland; so that by the time of the Tithe Survey (183S-42) less than a hundred years later over 4000 acres of heath had been reclaimed.

  • Parish Registers and Transcripts in the Norfolk Record Office
Parish Registers and Transcripts in the Norfolk Record Office This list summarises the Norfolk Record Office’s (NRO’s) holdings of parish (Church of England) registers and of transcripts and other copies of them. Parish Registers The NRO holds registers of baptisms, marriages, burials and banns of marriage for most parishes in the Diocese of Norwich (including Suffolk parishes in and near Lowestoft in the deanery of Lothingland) and part of the Diocese of Ely in south-west Norfolk (parishes in the deanery of Fincham and Feltwell). Some Norfolk parish records remain in the churches, especially more recent registers, which may be still in use. In the extreme west of the county, records for parishes in the deanery of Wisbech Lynn Marshland are deposited in the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, whilst Welney parish records are at the Cambridgeshire Record Office. The covering dates of registers in the following list do not conceal any gaps of more than ten years; for the populous urban parishes (such as Great Yarmouth) smaller gaps are indicated. Whenever microfiche or microfilm copies are available they must be used in place of the original registers, some of which are unfit for production. A few parish registers have been digitally photographed and the images are available on computers in the NRO's searchroom. The digital images were produced as a result of partnership projects with other groups and organizations, so we are not able to supply copies of whole registers (either as hard copies or on CD or in any other digital format), although in most cases we have permission to provide printout copies of individual entries.
