Welcome everyone to Macedonia Park for what stands to be a very exciting clash between The Stirling Lions and Perth Glory.
Glory is off to a strong start of the back a great season last year, currently sitting 3rd on the NPL Ladder.
The Lions are licking our wounds after a poor start to the season and a very disappointing result away to Rockingham last week which was resulted in some changes at the helm.
The team will be looking to bounce back with performance against a very youthful Glory line up and set the season back on track.
Wishing both teams all the very best for the game and look forward to seeing everyone stay for a drink or two after the game.

Last home game was the TD38 Foundation tribute of our lost sons in Dylan Tombidies, a super star of a player who tragically passed away aged 20 in April 2014 from Testicular Cancer.
Our special guests included Donna, Giuffre, Karen, John & Lee Bondi, Chris De Lima, Don Evans and Perth Glory super star Dino Djulbic.
The game was played in high spirits and strongly supported with a crowd of over 1,000 supporters attending and Perth SC taking the chocolates on the day 3 - 0. We wish to thank all the supports, players and volunteers for supporting such a worthy cause. Special thanks to Perth Glory for donating team signed merchandise for the day.
The signed ball was actioned and achieve $700. The team Jersey will be auctioned off at the next fixture were Perth will be the hosts and hopefully it will be an A league winning Teams Jersey and achieve strong bidding to raise some further funds for the charity.

I’d also like to welcome Perth Glory to Macedonia Park today. Hopefully both sides are at their best and produce a great spectacle for those in attendance.
After a tumultuous week we are happy to get the opportunity to atone for what was a disappointing result versus Rockingham last week. The players, coaches and the board will be eager to atone for that result, one which has put the club in a perilous position. However, Stirling is a proud club that has been successful for many years and I’m confident that we will turn this scenario around and get the club back to where it belongs.

Good afternoon and welcome to Round 5 of the NPL WA 2019 season.
Very proud of the 20’s performances over the last couple of weeks. A 3-3 draw away to Sorrento where we enjoyed a lion’s share of possession was followed by our first win of the season against Rockingham last week, 4-3.
Today we welcome Perth Glory and hopefully we can continue our trend of improvement against what is sure to be a talented and well organised team.
My assistant Dom Ciullo and I are extremely pleased with the progression of our young side who are proving to be not only keen learners but also more than capable of executing. We are looking forward to improving each week whilst playing attractive and exciting football.

Let me start by Welcoming the Coaching Staff and Players of Perth Glory to Macedonia Park. Also a Big welcome to all the parents and supporters of both teams for being down to support what will be a great game of football.
The boys have had a positive start to the season with 3 wins and 1 loss from the opening four games and we know we are in for a real test today. The opposition we face today has very real quality and are well coached and structured and it’s a team that like us make playing football the priority.
Over the opening four games we as a team have really started to become accountable for the football we play which is a show of respect that we all have for each other. We’ve had our interruptions with illness and Injury but the entire squad has really stepped up when called upon to do a job.
The aim for this week will be to play a positive brand of football and look to maintain our concentration levels from the start and for longer periods in the game.
We have shown over the first four rounds and in fact right through the pre-season that we have a genuine belief in the group that is displayed even in the tough periods in games or on the training track. As a coach you are always pleased when the team buys into the playing style and show a genuine desire to learn and develop, and as a group we are doing this each and every session and game.
On Saturday I really believe all that are down to watch will be treated to an exceptional game of football and we are very much looking forward to the task at hand.
We understand the things that we need to do as a side to get the most out of the game and will make this the focus on game day as we have throughout the week.
