Glory is off to a strong start of the back a great season last year, currently sitting 3rd on the NPL Ladder. The Lions are licking our wounds after a poor start to the season and a very disappointing result away to Rockingham last week which was resulted in some changes at the helm. The team will be looking to bounce back with performance against a very youthful Glory line up and set the season back on track. Wishing both teams all the very best for the game and look forward to seeing everyone stay for a drink or two after the game. Our special guests included Donna, Giuffre, Karen, John & Lee Bondi, Chris De Lima, Don Evans and Perth Glory super star Dino Djulbic. The game was played in high spirits and strongly supported with a crowd of over 1,000 supporters attending and Perth SC taking the chocolates on the day 3 - 0. We wish to thank all the supports, players and volunteers for supporting such a worthy cause. Special thanks to Perth Glory for donating team signed merchandise for the day. The signed ball was actioned and achieve $700. The team Jersey will be auctioned off at the next fixture were Perth will be the hosts and hopefully it will be an A league winning Teams Jersey and achieve strong bidding to raise some further funds for the charity. https://www.dt38.com.au PERTH GLORY TICKET GIVE AWAY This Sunday Perth Glory has the opportunity to create history by sealing the 2018/19 A-League Premiers Plate. After a tumultuous week we are happy to get the opportunity to atone for what was a disappointing result versus Rockingham last week. The players, coaches and the board will be eager to atone for that result, one which has put the club in a perilous position. However, Stirling is a proud club that has been successful for many years and I’m confident that we will turn this scenario around and get the club back to where it belongs. UNDER 20’S STIRLING LIONS SC V PERTH GLORY ZORAN MLINAR, HEAD COACH Good afternoon and welcome to Round 5 of the NPL WA 2019 season. Very proud of the 20’s performances over the last couple of weeks. A 3-3 draw away to Sorrento where we enjoyed a lion’s share of possession was followed by our first win of the season against Rockingham last week, 4-3. Today we welcome Perth Glory and hopefully we can continue our trend of improvement against what is sure to be a talented and well organised team. My assistant Dom Ciullo and I are extremely pleased with the progression of our young side who are proving to be not only keen learners but also more than capable of executing. Both teams arrive into this clash after picking up a point in their previous match. ECU drew 1-1 with Inglewood whilst Athena drew with Sorrento 3-3. Whilst the draw felt like a loss due to the fact we dominated the first 60 minutes, it was a stern reminder similar to Adelaide that intensity and tempo needs to be adhered to for the full duration of the match. The small consolation was that the point has all but guaranteed Athena a top four birth which was one of our goals prior to the season starting. Obviously we are pushing for a top 2 finish however we need to take each game as it comes and this week we are looking forward to playing ECU who I am sure have very particular goals in place for their final 3 matches of the season.

Special welcome to Sorrento SC President Mr Derek Harnwell, First team coach , Jamie Harnwell committee members, coaches, assistants, players, supporters and sponsors from both clubs. With two games left of the normal rounds, the top six is looking very congested and results can fall either way with movement up or down on the ladder. It sets up for an exciting and breath taking last few rounds. Season 2020 has been a very challenging year particularly with trying to maintain a steady cash flow, reinventing the product and managing the clubs overheads. Covid19 has definitely added to the pressures of managing the finances of the club. The board had been instrumental on taking early punitive measures with none other than our very own Treasurer Nick Farrell setting the pace. Our Treasurer is a partner of Cornerstone Accounting & Business Consulting which is based in Subiaco; a long term member at FAFC; coaches the Amateurs league team and a very passionate Blue and White fan. His management skills and advice has steered the club on the correct pathway and all board members have embraced the concept. I personally thank Nick on his volunteering role as the clubs Treasurer, Amateurs coach, (wannabe player) and overall a passionate sportsman. Furthermore, last Sunday and for the next few Sundays FAFC host the miniroos clusters. Last Sunday Britannia reserve was host to hundreds of players, parents volunteers and spectators.
