    Berthoud Park and Recreation Policies and Procedures The following Parks and Recreation Policies and Procedures are implemented to help the Parks and Recreation staff formulate a well-organized, fair and fun recreational environment for all to enjoy. 1. Registration will be open to the public for a one month period. 2. All activity registrations will be based on age with the exception of Youth Basketball, grades will be used. The age cutoff is the age of the participant on the first program start date. For leagues this would be the first possible practice date. For instructional programs, this will be the first date the program meets. 3. Documentation for proof of age and grade level may be requested at any time. 4. Deadlines will be strictly enforced to ensure management efficiency, safety and quality of the programs. 5. Space is limited! Not everyone is guaranteed a spot in the program so register early. 6. No team registrations! Parks and Recreation only accepts individual registrations on a first come first serve basis. 7. If there are not enough numbers for certain age groups, the recreation department may choose to combine age groups. Leagues may be combined based on a 2 year differential to ensure safety and quality of programs. 8. The Recreation Department cannot guarantee a program will run until registration has ended and participant levels have been determined. 9. Based on registration numbers, participants may not be able to participate in the program in which they are registered. 10. After the registration deadline, late registrations will be taken only if there are spots available.

    ORGANIZED SEASONAL PRACTICE POLICY Policy Number: 04-004 Review Cycle: Annually Effective Date: March 19, 2019 Reviewer: Superintendent of Athletics Approval Authority: Director of Parks and Recreation This policy complements the Athletic Field Use Policy 04-001, Comprehensive Revenue Policy 01-040, and the Inclement Weather Policy 09-007. SCOPE ​ This policy applies to all organized soccer, softball, or baseball organizations (leagues, teams or clubs) that use Clarksville Parks and Recreation sports fields for the purpose of practice, as well as department staff that reserve and manage those fields. Game and tournament use shall not be dictated by this policy. POLICY STATEMENT ​ ​ ​ It is the policy of the City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department to manage the use of City recreation facilities, parks and sport fields, to protect these resources and to allow usage based on availability and priority. Use shall be consistent with City Policies and Ordinances, and promote wellness, recreation, and positive participation and sportsmanship. This policy is intended to facilitate City and non-City use and scheduling of practices at recreational venues for an entire spring, summer or fall season. Failure to comply with any items in this policy may cause the cancellation of reservation, and the organization may not be permitted use of City facilities in the future. Reservations are revocable at any time for any violation of rule, ordinance or state law. ELIGIBILITY ​ Only organized soccer, softball or baseball leagues, teams, and clubs may reserve City soccer, softball, or baseball fields fields for the purpose of practices. A current liability insurance policy with a minimum of $1,000,000 coverage naming the City of Clarksville as additional insured, must be submitted with the scheduling request application for all organizations (see number 4 of the policy guidelines).

Utilizing a combination of content analysis and critical discourse analysis, it explores how these shows draw on discourses of feminism and postfeminism. It finds that Girls more than Parks and Recreation relies on discourses of postfeminism and replicates behaviors of the postfeminist girlfriend. It finds that both shows struggle to address issues of class difference and are guilty of post-race sentiments. Finally, it finds that Parks and Rec, more than Girls, reiterates feminist sentiments. Parks gives an overall feminist sentiment, while Girls walks the line between feminism and postfeminism.
