(040) 853 88 888 ∙ www.fkpscorpio.com PRESSEMITTEILUNG 21.03.2016 The Last Shadow Puppets kommen im Sommer auf Tour Fast acht Jahre sind vergangen seitdem Alex Turner, Sänger bei den Arctic Monkeys, und Miles Kane, Sänger bei The Rascals, als The Last Shadow Puppets ihr durchschlagendes Debütalbum „The Age Of Understatement“ in die Welt setzten. Für Turner und die Arctic Monkeys ging es daraufhin mit den Alben „Humbug“, „Suck It And See“ und zuletzt „AM“ weiter. Miles Kane tourte weiter mit den Rascals und betätigte sich als Solo-Künstler. Die Wege beider Künstler trennten sich dennoch nie ganz. Jetzt melden sie sich zurück mit dem am 1. April erscheinenden „Everything You’ve Come To Expect“. Aufgenommen wurde in den Shangri La Studios in Malibu, selbstverständlich mit Produzent und Bandmitglied James Ford, der neben den Arctic Monkeys auch schon weitere Größen wie Florence And The Machine, Klaxons, Peaches oder Mumford & Sons unter seine Fittiche nahm und der bei den Puppets auch gleich noch den Part des Schlagzeugers übernahm. Am Bass wurden sie begleitet von Zachary Dawes von den Mini Mansions. Natürlich dürfen bei The Last Shadow Puppets die obligatorischen Streicher nicht fehlen, die der Musik erst diesen Breitwandsound geben. Die Arrangements dafür kommen von keinem geringeren als Owen Pallett. Seit einiger Zeit schon kursieren die Tracks „Aviation“, „Bad Habits“ und das Titelstück der neuen Platte und ihre unglaublich ausgefuchsten Videos im Netz und weisen ganz klar die Richtung, in die das Album geht: cooler Rock mit großem Arrangement, britisches Songwriting mit etwas Brillantine im Haar, Lässigkeit mit Wumms und mit Stil. Der Sommer gehört, das darf man jetzt schon prognostizieren, The Last Shadow Puppets, allzumal auf der Bühne, wenn Turner, Kane und ihre Band bei uns ihre Songs präsentieren.
