No claim for compensation arising out of the Show will be entertained, neither will liability be accepted for any accident to any exhibitor, his or her servants or to any spectator present. 9. The Show Committee reserve the right to abandon or postpone the Show or can - cel or alter any class. 10. No animal is eligible for entry in more than one Class except in the case of spe - cial prizes. 11. Exhibitors must satisfy themselves that their exhibits are in correct classes and bear correct number before judging commences. 12. All dogs must be on leads. 13. The decision of the Judges shall be final, and the instructions of stewards and officials must be obeyed at all times. 14. In the event of an appointed Judge not being available on day of show the com - mittee reserves the right to appoint a Judge. 15. All Cups are Perpetual. The winner of any Cup shall be responsible to the Secretary for its safe custody and for production and delivery to the Society in the same condition in which it was received not later than 1st July, 2016. 16. All objections must be lodged with the Secretary within thirty minutes of the con - clusion of the class or event concerned. No objection shall be accepted or consid - ered by the Committee unless lodged before said time. Each objection shall be accompanied by a fee of €30 which will be retained if objection is over-ruled. 17. Each Exhibitor or their agent shall be prepared to certify all statements in his or her Entry Form in any manner the Committee may require. 18. Prize winners may at the discretion of the Judges and/or the Committee be required to subject their animals to a Veterinary examination.

All foals must be adequately haltered and led, the Committee reserve the absolute right to have any foal removed from the Show Grounds and to forfeit their entry fee if not properly led and haltered. 20. All entries made by telephone must be followed by correct entry fee. 21. A 'Pass' covers free entry to the show for one person only. 22. 5% on all prize winners in horse, pony, cattle and sheep classes will be deducted from prize winners and forwarded to the I.S.A. 23. Prize money for the Home Industry and Dogs will be paid out on Show Day and will have to be signed for. 24. Ages of Animals to be correctly stated on entry forms. 25. Cattle and Horses must be provided with sufficient halters and caretakers must be in attendance at all times during the day. 26. All animals to remain on Show Field until after 4 p.m. 27. All accidents/incidents to be reported to the Secretary. 28. Any animal out of box must be attended to. 29. Only one nomination to be won per Brood Mare, Horse/Pony in any one year. 30. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be on time for the judging of their class. 31. Prizes will be paid out on Show Day. 32. For the efficient running of the Championships all concerned are requested to read and observe the Rules set out below. General Rules for ISA Championships 2015 A. ELIGIBILITY OF SHOWS Shows wishing to participate in the 2015 Championships and be eligible to hold qualifiers, must have collected the Championship Fund Levy (currently 5%) from Horse, Pony, Cattle and Sheep Class Prize money for the year 2014 and forwarded the amount so collected, in full, to the Irish Shows Association Head Office with - in the stipulated period of not more than 30 days from the date of their show. Alternative methods of meeting this obligation are not acceptable. Any show or competitor in breach of the rules set out below will be disqualified from participating or competing in these championships. 6 These General Rules and those relating to individual championships (where applicable) should be published in the show schedule and catalogue of the par - ticipating shows and must be strictly observed.

B. QUALIFYING ROUNDS (QUALIFIERS) Qualifying rounds will take place at eligible shows selected by the Irish Shows Association.

C. RESPONSIBILITY OF SHOWS HOLDING QUALIFYING ROUNDS a. Selected Shows should hold a separate class for each qualifier from which the high - est placed animals will qualify. b. The Qualifier class, if possible, should be held as the first (1st) class in the rele - vant section of the show. c. Shows must ensure that the qualifiers are held strictly in accordance with the rele - vant rules. d. No other sponsor may be involved in qualifying classes. e. Shows may charge an entry fee for each qualifying class. The I.S.A. will award a rosette to the successful qualifiers on appearance at the final. f. No Show hosting a Championship Final may hold a qualifier for that Chamionship on the day of the final other than by agreement with the Irish Shows Association, “HOWEVER, Shows who hold Qualifiers for Horses, Ponies and Cattle may ask Exhibitors to enter the exhibit in at least one other Class at their Show on the day”. g. Animals qualified for finals are not eligible to enter in any other class at the show where the final is held other than a Qualifying Class for another competition. h. Shows should appoint competent, well briefed persons to act as Stewards, who must ensure that only animals (or other exhibits) which are eligible to compete and those whose documentation is in order are allowed to proceed to the judging ring. i. Animal Passports & Micro Chips where applicable, s hould be read by a Veterinary Surgeon appointed by the show. j. On completion of judging, Stewards should instruct the successful competitors to attend at Show Secretary's Office within one hour and to complete the nec - essary documentation for entry to the championship final. k. The show must appoint a well-briefed officer, who will be in attendance at the Secretary's Office and who will assist exhibitors to complete the necessary docu - mentation for participation in the final and to collect the relevant entrance fee. l. Show Secretaries must forward complete result cards, together with appropri - ate fees to the Irish Shows Association within three (3) days following the hold - ing of the show. N.B. Shows must return results card marked “No Competition” for any or all events for which no animal (or exhibit) has been selected.

D. RESPONSIBILITY OF ExHIBITORS a. Exhibitors accept that the Judges decision is final in all cases. Any abuse of judges will not be tolerated. Where a dispute or case for complaint arises, the mat - ter should only be dealt with under f. below. 7 b. Winners of Qualifiers are themselves responsible for entering their animals (or exhibits) for the final in accordance with j. and k. above, within one hour of qualifying. c. Winners of qualifiers will compete in the final. d. The Irish Shows Association in conjunction with the sponsor reserve the right to alter or amend the rules of any competition as may be necessary or appropriate. e. Shows and competitors must contact the National Irish Shows Office for details of any championship and not the sponsor involved. f. Objections must be lodged in writing with the I.S.A. representative at the show or the Show Secretary within half an hour following the completion of judging, together with a fee of €50, or other stated fee, which is refundable in the event of the objection being upheld. g. Any Exhibitor who makes a false declaration or misrepresents a fact regarding themselves or their exhibit are liable to disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prizes awarded.

E. RESPONSIBILITIES OF SHOWS HOSTING CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS a. A deduction of 5% of the prize money is to be collected by the Show and forward - ed to the Irish Shows Association within 30 days of the final. b. Championship finals should start not later than 2 p.m. on the day of the show and the advertised time of starting should be adhered to as far as practicable. If necessary, other show classes shoud be either postponed or relocated to allow for this.

NOTICES OF INTEREST TO CHAMPIONSHIP PARTICIPANTS IRISH LAW (EU DIRECTIVE) Under Irish Law all horses moving from one location to another must be accom - panied by their passports. It is in your own interest to ensure this is the case. Failure to do so is an offence under Irish Law and is liable on summary conviction to result in a fine up to €3,000. All passports must be registered with the name of the current owner.

• Embryo Transfer: Where a foal is produced by this method the dams passport must bear a declaration dated, stamped and signed by the stallion owner (or accred - ited practitioner where AI is involved) stating the date on which the dam was last covered (or inseminated) and the name of the covering stallion. • The owners of Champions and Reserve Champions are invited to submit the ani - mals’ passports to the I.S.A. head office where the placing will be endorsed and officially stamped with the seal of the Irish Shows Association as a permanent record. • It is in the interest of Shows hosting Championship Finals that photographs and results are forwarded to the Irish Farmers Journal immediately following Judging.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS - CATTLE Keepers wishing to show cattle in 2015 must obtain a Certificate of Compliance prior to the movement of the animal to the Show. This ensures that the animal(s) in question has the necessary TB, BR and BVD test recorded on the Department’s database and that the keeper presenting the animal is not restricted by the Department. Certificates of Compliance can be obtained online from the Animal Identification and Movement (AIM) system through the www.agfood.ie facility or from the Cattle Movement Notificaton Agency. When applying for a Certificate of Compliance, keepers should not specify a destination herd. On the day of the Show, the certificate of Compliance should be presented to the 24 Show Secretary along with the Bovine Passport for the animal. The keeper will then sign the Movement Notification section of the Certificate which will then be sent to the local DVO for recording onto the AIM system. Please note that only cattle for which a valid Certificate of Compliance is provid - ed to the Show Secretary can be shown on the day of Show.

Final to take place at the 2015 Discover Ireland Horse Show, 5th - 9th August, 2015. • Open to Mares likely to produce performance horses, with an athletic foal at foot. Mares should be registered with an approved studbook or with Weatherby’s General Studbook or Weatherby’s Non-Thoroughbred Register and have record - ed breeding. Judging will be based on adjudicating the mare as a projenitor of athletic type foals with obvious performance potential. A mare and foal which has already qualified for the final may not qualify a sec - ond time. 54. THE POWER’S QUARRY INTERNATIONAL RIDDEN REGISTERED CONNEMARA PERFORMANCE PONY CHAMPIONSHIP (QUALIFIER) Prize Fund €3,500. T o be held in Oughterard, Sunday 30th August, 2015. RULES AND C ONDITIONS 1. Qualifying rounds will be held at designated shows. 2. Ponies 4 years old and over are eligible. The Championship will consist of two categories: (Category A) : Ponies 4 to 6 years old. (Category B) : Ponies 7 years old and upwards.

3. More than one pony in each qualifying category may be selected to compete in the final provided the judges agree that the standard is high enough. 4. Pony and / or Rider once qualified are not eligible to participate in subsequent qualifiers in the same category. This rule may be waived by the Show Committee in exceptional circumstances e.g. sale of a pony or injury of rider prior to final. Permission from the Oughterard Show Committee must be granted prior to any previously qualified pony or rider competing in subsequent qualifying rounds. Failure to do so will result in the entry not being accepted. 5. On completion of judging at qualifiers the successful qualifier will be given all relevant entry documentation by the ring steward. This must be completed and returned, along with the appropriate fee, to the secretary of Oughterard Show within 7 days - this rule will be strictly adhered to. 6. Ponies must be registered in a main Connemara Studbook. The Passport of each pony must be presented prior to judging at the qualifying show and on the day of the final. 43 7. The rider must be under 25 years of age on 1/01/15. Birth certificates must be produced for inspection at qualifying rounds and on the day of the final. 8. Registered Connemara Stallions must be ridden by a rider over 14 years of age and under 25 years of age on 01/01/2015. 9. Jumping over rustic/ natural fences will be part of the qualifying rounds and final. Qualifying rounds require a minimum of 4 fences . Jumps at qualifiers should not exceed 90cm in height and 90cm in width. Entrants from shows who do not adhere to this rule will not be accepted. 10. The Final requires a minimum of 8 fences which will include a double and a tech - nical related distance. For Category (A) Fences must not exceed 90 cm in height and 90 cm in width. For Category (B) Fences must not exceed 1m in height and 1m in width. 11. Ponies to be ridden in a Plain Snaffle, Pelham or Double Bridle. Boots are allowed for the jumping phase only, and must be removed prior to the in-hand or Flat Sections. A running martingale is permitted in qualifiers and in the Final but spurs are prohibited. The same tack must be used in both phases. 12. A performance judge must be used at qualifying shows. 13. Ponies will be judged on type, Confirmation, Jumping technique, way of going and action in-hand. 14. Random Dope testing may be carried out on the day of the final. 15. Any objection must be lodged in writing with the show secretary within half an hour following the completion of the competition, together with €50 which is refundable if the objection is upheld. 16. Oughterard Show Committee, in consultation with the sponsor, reserves the right to amend the rules as may be deemed necessary. * It is strongly advised by the Oughterard Show Society that all competitors should wear a body protector. * Qualifying Rosettes will be presented at the Final. Points Awarded: The Competition will be judged in two phases giving total maximum - points of 165.

Marking: Phase 1 – Jumping 8 fences (one is a double) marked 0-10 for each fence. Points will also be awarded for way of going 0- 20
