President Corlew is retired as chancellor for the State of Tennessee and a professor of law. A member of the Murfreesboro Noon Lions Club since 1978, he has held many offices within the association, including charter club president, zone chairperson, district governor, cabinet secretary and council chairperson. He has been instrumental in the chartering of a number of new clubs. Most recently, he worked to charter a new club comprised of lawyers and judges, which gained more than 75 members during its first year. In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards, including the Leadership Award, the Builder Key Award, three International President's Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association bestows upon its members. He is also a Vanguard of the Melvin Jones Memorial, a Progressive Lindsey-Jennings Fellow and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow. In addition to his Lions activities, President Corlew has been active in the Boy Scouts of America, the Jaycees and the American Red Cross. He has also served as a councilman in Milton and was a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve. President Corlew and his wife, Dianne, also a Lion and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have five children and five grandchildren. 2 JOHN WHYTE DISTRICT GOVERNOR WELLINGTON DISTRICT LIONS CLUB Lion John is of Austrian origin. His family left Austria in 1938 and relocated to Bombay, India where he was born. The family moved to England when he was two years old. He was educated in England but admits that academia was not his strong point. He made up for it by excelling at sports, particularly team sports. Lion John moved to Canada in 1985 and became a Canadian citizen in 1987. Prior to taking semi-retirement he spent 46 years in sales, marketing and business management in Canada, the USA, Europe and North Africa. He now works part- time in the tasting room/boutique at Sandbanks Estate Winery in Prince Edward County. His involvement in community service began in 1973 when he joined the Round Table of Britain and Ireland where he was a member for many years. He joined Scarborough Cedarbrae Golden Mile Lions Club in 2006, where he served as Leo Advisor, Peace Poster Chair, Youth Chair, Vice President and three terms as Club President. He also served as District A-711 Peace Poster Chair. Lion John transferred to the Wellington District Lions Club in 2013. He has served District A- 3 as Peace Poster Chair, Zone Chair and 1st Vice District Governor. Lion John is the recipient of two Club President’s Appreciation Certificates, a Lion of the Year Award, an International President’s Extension Certificate and an International President’s Letter of Commendation. He is a Certified Guiding Lion. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute and a graduate of the Lions University Bachelors Program and will be graduating from the Master’s Program this year at the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum in Omaha, Nebraska. Lion John and his partner Lion Kathy Marchen live in the beautiful village of Wellington in Prince Edward County and have a blended family of 7 children, 8 3 grandchildren, 3 cats and 2 dogs. BILL ZWIER FIRST VICE DISTRICT GOVERNOR SHARBOT LAKE & DISTRICT LIONS CLUB Bill hails from the Niagara Peninsula and moved to Central Frontenac Township, with Linda, over 40 years ago. Bill and Linda live in the country, with 2 small dogs – A Shih Tzu and a Yorkshire Terror – as well as with an abundance of wild life that appear out of the woods at any time. Lion Bill joined the Sharbot Lake & District Lions Club in 1992. He has been Club Treasurer and, twice, Club President. He has worked on every committee – hammered nails, flipped burgers, washed dishes, planted trees, etc. – like every other Lion out there. He has attended many forums and conventions. Lion Bill served as Zone 11W Chair in 2013/14 and Region 11 Chair in 2014/2015. He attended the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute in Calgary in 2015. Lion Bill is a Certified Guiding Lion, as well as a Club Quality Initiative Facilitator. He has received the Lion of the Year Award, the Distinguished Service Award, the Helen Keller Fellowship and is a Melvin Jones Fellow. Lion Bill has completed nearly all of the courses offered on the LCI website. Lion Bill believes the key to successful and harmonious clubs is communication. Lion Bill believes in the code of ethics –“I shall be careful with my criticism and liberal with my praise, so that I will build up, and not destroy”. 4 FRANK HEWITT SECOND VICE DISTRICT GOVERNOR EAST PETERBOROUGH LIONS CLUB Lion Frank Hewitt was born in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, and he has 5 brothers and two sisters. His parents moved all over Ontario, from Northern towns like Geralton to the big city of Toronto before settling in Sutton, Ontario. Lion Frank attended Sutton District High School before taking a position at the Coca Cola plant in Uxbridge. While working there he served 4 years as president of the UFCW Union. After working there for 10 years, he decided he needed a change in his life. He left Coca Cola to work for the City of Toronto for 2 years before moving on to working with his brothers who formed their own cable installation company in Gravenhurst. Lion Frank formed, co-owned and operated Hewitt Brothers, a disc jockey and security business, with his brother Randy. He also primarily worked in the security and performing arts industry for over 23 years. His first introduction to Lionism was with the Gravenhurst Lions, where he served many positions including President. He was a Peterborough Lion for 5 years before joining the East Peterborough Lions Club, and since joining Lions has brought a total of 6 people into this wonderful organization. He has won the Lion of the Year award twice, the Bulletin Award three times, and is the proud recipient of a Melvin Jones Fellowship. Lion Frank served as Zone Chair for 2 years, covering two zones during his second term, and for the last year has served as Region Chair for Zone 10. Lion Frank is also the proud recipient of the International Appreciation Award.     4th Mayor’s Report to the Assembly MQT – 14 September 2016 This is my fourth Mayor’s Report to the Assembly, fulfilling my duty under Section 45 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999. It covers the 7th July – 31st August. Executive Summary First 100 days in office On 16 August, I outlined my ambition to provide every Londoner with the opportunities the city gave me and my family as I marked my first 100 days in office. I also expressed my determination to maintain the fast pace of work I have brought to City Hall and I am intent on delivering major improvements for Londoners. In my first 100 days in office I have already: • Put together the most ambitious plan to tackle air pollution anywhere in the world. • Published the first ever gender pay audit at City Hall and a real plan to tackle pay inequality. • Overseen the launch of the Night Tube. • Announced a TfL fares freeze for four years – and pushed the Government to freeze the fares on their lines. • Announced the Hopper bus fare • Blocked plans to develop on London’s vital greenbelt • Begun building my Homes for Londoners team to ensure there are genuinely affordable homes to rent and buy. • Focused on real neighbourhood policing – announcing an extra dedicated police officer in every ward by 2017. • Launched a terror preparedness review into London’s ability to respond to a major terrorist incident. • Introduced Low emission bus zones – with clean bus lanes secured in some of the most polluted areas of London. • Supported arts and culture – begun working on plans for London’s first cultural enterprise zone.

The agreement below sets out the devolution proposal that it is agreed Leaders will take to each council for full debate by no later than the 1 July 2016. 2 Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Devolution Deal This document sets out the terms of a proposed agreement between Government, the seven local authorities covering Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership to devolve a range of funding, powers and responsibilities. It should be considered as part of the Government’s devolution to East Anglia. This Devolution Deal marks the next step in the transfer of resources, powers and accountability from central Government to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The document below sets out the current devolution proposal, which it is agreed leaders will take to each council for full debate and consultation with relevant local stakeholders. This process will be completed by no later than 1st July. In return for this level of devolution and local control Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will establish a Combined Authority, with a directly elected Mayor in place by May 2017 with interim arrangements in place in 2016/17.
