2021 Summer Camp Descriptions

Sign Ups will begin online on March 1, 2021. No payment required until June 1, 2021 (for June camps) or July 1, 2021 (for July camps).

Pretty Princess Tea Party Camp (Ages 2-6) Level: Beginner

Do you have a favorite Princess? Come and spend a few days in a magical adventure dancing and singing to some of your favorite princess songs. Let your child’s imagination run free through creative expression and while learning ballet. Your dancer will spend time with their favorite princesses, make some princess arts and crafts and prepare for a princess show and tea party at the end of the week.

Frozen Friends Camp (Ages 2-6) Level: Beginner

Does your little one just adore the new Frozen movie? Come and spend a few days in Arendelle where we will dance and sing to some of your favorite Frozen songs. Let your child’s imagination run free through creative expression including the use of scarves, ribbon wands and more. Your dancer will spend their time learning ballet while making Frozen arts and crafts and preparing for a Frozen show at the end of the week!

Trolls Dance Camp (Ages 4-8) Level: Beginner

Does your dancer want to get up and move while watching Trolls? Come and spend a few days where we will dance and sing to some of your favorite songs from the new hit movie. Your dancer will spend their time learning traditional jazz dance terminology, some fun rock and roll dance moves, while making arts and crafts and preparing for a showcase at the end of the week!

Barbie Dance Party (4-8) Level: Beginner

Barbie has introduced many young dancers to the wonderful world of Ballet with her Swan Lake, Pop Star Princess and Nutcracker videos. We will dance along with Barbie as we learn about the different kinds of dance disciplines from Ballet to Tap to Jazz. Let your child fall in love with dance while making new friends, including Barbie!

Pom Intensive Intermediate (Ages 7 - 12) Level: Intermediate

This intensive is designed to help students improve and challenge their skills while helping them get ready for a middle school and/or high school pom team. Teachers will focus on developing skills such as pirouettes, turns in second/tours, leaps, turning disks, toe touches and more. Students will also have time to work on their aerials and other acrobatic skills. The week will conclude with a mock audition process, where students will take home score sheets and know what they need to improve on in the coming season.

Pom Intensive Advanced (Ages 11+) Level: Advanced

This intensive is designed to help students improve and challenge their skills while helping them get ready for a high school pom team. Teachers will focus on developing skills such as pirouettes, turns in second/tours, leaps, turning disks, toe touches and more. Dance Workshop (6-12) Level: Beginner, Intermediate

All Dance and nothing but dance! This workshop is designed for the dancer who is ready to learn and perfect new dance styles. This workshop will give dancers level-appropriate exposure to various genres of dance including jazz, lyrical, ballet, contemporary and hip hop and will cover conditioning and leaps and turns technique as well. It is a perfect opportunity to experience a new style of dance or keep your technique sharp over the summer.

Tik Tok Dance Workshop (6-12) Level: Beginner, Intermediate

Does your child love watching music videos on Tik Tok and YouTube? Well, now it’s their turn to be a Tik Tok star! In this camp, they will learn the dance choreography, create props and scenery to create their very own social media style music videos. At the end of the week they will showcase their production for Friends and Family!

Offered: July 12-16, 2021; 1:00pm-4:00pm Cost: $125

Pom Star (Ages 6-11) Level: Beginner, Intermediate

This camp focuses on what it takes to become a cheerleader! Instruction will consist of pom arm technique, jazz dance turns and jumps, as well as basic tumbling such as cartwheels and walkovers. Students will learn what it takes to make the team, including game day chants, sideline routines, and of course – a halftime performance!

Hip Hop Workshop (Ages 6-11) Level: Beginner, Intermediate

This Workshop is an opportunity for dancers to try on different styles of hip hop. Dancers will learn set choreography but will also get the mats out to work on some new hip hop tricks like kip ups, baby freezes, head springs and more! Join us for an opportunity to improve your skills in a fast paced and fun environment.

Monday Night Master Classes (9+) Level: Intermediate, Advanced

This Workshop is a fun opportunity for dancers to try on different styles of dance with different instructors! As the instructors are scheduled, we will make sure to let families know who is teaching so you can look up their bios and resumes. Classes will be jazz technique focused, mostly working on flexibility, technique, and picking up different styles of choreography. Join us for the opportunity to improve your skills in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Offered: July 12, July 19, July 26, 2021; 5:00pm – 7:00pm Cost: $60 for all; $25 single class

Lunch Bunch

For those dancers who are interested in doing a morning and an afternoon camp, we will host a lunch hour where dancers can be supervised while they eat a lunch from home, extending their dance day from 9:00am-4:00pm. Parents can also use this as an extra hour in their day, delivering their dancer an hour early for an afternoon camp (drop off at noon), or leaving them an hour later after a morning camp (pick up at 1:00). This must be specified before the week of camp so that we have the appropriate staff available.
