(1) Introduction

Chishtiya College of Arts, Khuldabad working under the aegis of Urdu Education Society, Aurangabad. Almost 30 primary schools, high schools, jr. colleges, jr.education colleges, technical and computer institutes, and a senior college. Our Founder Chairman Honorable Late Mr. Abdul Azeem Ex-Minister Govt. of Maharashtra started Chishtiya College in Khuldabad in the year 1989 with a vision to provide higher education to rural and hilly youths especially minority girls. The college journeyed w.e.f 1989 to success providing education and community services to the surrounding area. After the demise of Hon’ble Mr. Abdul Azeem in 2002.

Dr. M.A Aziz continued the mission of Urdu Education society with utmost efficiency. He was MLC of Govt. of Maharashtra and a medical doctor by profession. Under his able Guidance College followed the tradition of providing quality education with dedication against all odds.

College underwent NAAC Assesment and Acreditation in the year

2003 -2004 and got C++. College established IQAC in 2005 and submitted it AQAR for 2004-05 and 2005 06.

Unfortunately we lost our inspiring force Dr. M.A Aziz on 8th May 2009.

Now Society is under the enthusiastic and foresighted personality called Mr.Shaikh Mohd. Ayyub. Under his able Guidance College is submitting its second AQAR for the years 2006 to 2011 to NAAC. Incharge Principal Dr. Shaikh Aijaz and the NAAC Steering Committee with IQAC took endless efforts to give it a final look.

2.0 IQAC Report 2006-07 1st Meeting of the Year

Meeting held on dated: 5th June 2006 Time : 2:30pm Venue : Chishtiya College campus, Khuldabad

IQAC Suggest the following Steps to college to improve the quality of the college Administration. The Meeting was presided over by the in charge Principal Dr. Shaikh Aijaz & the undersigned members attended the meeting. The suggestion is as under: 1) The college should applied to university for permanent affiliation 2) After getting permanent affiliation should go for getting recognition under 2F & 12B of UGC. 3) College should take concrete action for designing detailed Academic planning through an academic calendar, daily teaching plan, yearly teaching plan etc. 4) As suggested by peer Teem, should start post graduate courses in language and social sciences. 5) Problems of approval of teachers should be solved. 6) Number of books and Journals for library should be increased. 7) College should develop its own playground as there is scope for sports person to develop their skills. 8) Students and teachers should be encouraged to develop communication skill in English. 9) College may think of starting research and regular programmee of Open University or distance education. 10) Establishment of Alumni Association and gather suggestion from them to improve quality in education. 11) Feed back mechanism should be maintained and action should be put in the IQAC meeting for further development.

IQAC Report 2006-07 Last Meeting of the Year

Meeting held on dated: 3rd March 2007 Time : 2:30pm Venue : Chishtiya College campus, Khuldabad Meeting held on 3rd March 2007 and the IQAC members and head of the Department attended the meeting. Dr.Shaikh Aijaz I/C Principal presided over the meeting. The Committee observed the action plan of the college and suggestion implemented by the college according to the IQAC suggestion made on 5th June 2006. IQAC thus observed the following observation. 1.The College applied for permanent Affiliation to the University but not got any response. 2.The matter of 2(f) & 12(b) if under consideration of the Management after getting permanent Affiliation. 3.The college is following a well designed academic calendar and maintaining well plan teaching schedule. 4.Problems of approval of teachers are persuaded to the university. 5.Starting of PG courses in English, Hindi, Urdu, History, Pol.Science, Geography was proposed to the university. 6.Number of books for library is increased but not satisfactory. 7.Temprorary play ground is developed at the open space of the proposed building. 8.Student and Teachers are encouraged to take admission in short term courses of communicative English and teachers are requested to write application to principal in English. 9.College started Yashwantrao Chavan Open University M.Phil. in History (Research Programmee at college campus). 10.Alumni Association created and suggestion collected from them. 11.Mechanism of feed back from students on teachers collected and report forwarded to IQAC.

The overall performance of the college is satisfactory. The college should speed of the work and persuade for the works necessary for development such as permanent Affiliation and 2(f) and 12(b) recognition. IQAC Suggest the following Steps to college to improve the quality of the college Administration. The Meeting was presided over by the in charge Principal Dr. Shaikh Aijaz & the undersigned members attended the meeting. The suggestion is as under: 1.Post graduate courses are recommended in English, Urdu, Geography, History, Pol.Science, Marathi. New subjects should be started at Undergraduate level. 2. Recommended Management to confirm the services of the temporary teachers. 3. Library advise to order more new books, Journals etc. and to computerized the library facilities. 4. Equipment should be made available to develop language laboratory. 5. Computer Laboratory should be made available to the students and teachers to develop communication skill in English. 6. More furniture should be made available to facilitated the programmee. 7. Lecture series and innovative programmees should be arranged for students and teachers. 8. IQAC recommended building coloring and maintenance. 9. College should arrange campus interview and guidance for further education to the students.

Dr.Shaikh Aijaz I/C Principal presided over the meeting. The Committee observed the action plan of the college and suggestion implemented by the college according to the IQAC suggestion made on 5th June 2007. IQAC thus observed the following observation.

1. Proposal of Postgraduate Courses (M.A.) in Urdu, Marathi, History and Pol.Science Submitted to University. New subjects like Physical Education and Islamic Studies at U.G. level has been proposed to university. 2. Management forwarded the proposal for the approvals of the teachers to the University for confirmation. 3. More books and journals has been added to the library and demand for the Computerization has been forwarded to the management. 4. Computer laboratory has been made available with latest facilities to teachers and Students. 5. New chairs, tables and desks added to the furniture of the college. 6. Teachers motivated to arrange lecture series department wise. 7.Building maintenance committee has been constituted to look after the maintenance Of the college building. 8. Guidence and redressel cell instructed to guide students for competitive exam and further education.

The overall performance of the college is not so satisfactory. The college should speed of the work and persuade for the works necessary for development such as permanent Affiliation and 2(f) and 12(b) recognition. The suggestion is as under: 1) The college should applied to university for permanent affiliation 2) After getting permanent affiliation should go for getting recognition under 2F & 12B of UGC. 3)Follow up of P.G. proposal should be done. 4)College should start designing its own website. 5)Office computerization is necessary due to on line admission and Examination by the university. Demand should be made separate Computer for each section of the office. 6)College should start internet connection and overhead projector is recommended. 7)Maintenance of the college garden and open study centre. 8)Demand for computerization of library has been repeated. 9)Arrangement of separate section for research activities. 10)Arrange special incentives for sports person and more facilities to rural Sports person. 11)Arrange community programmee with the help of local governing body.

1)Follow up of 2(f) and 12(b) & Permanent Affiliation has been made by the college. 2)Due to the follow up university recommended proposal of P.G. courses to the Govt. 3)College started designing Website launching is due. 4)College has fully computerized the office administration such as admission, examinations, accounting etc. 5)Demand for projector and internet has been forwarded to the management. 6)College garden and open study centre is maintained well during the year. 7)Computerization of library is under process. 8)Separate section for research activities has been provided in the form of ‘Research Room’ attached to library. 9)Track Suits and temporary play ground has been made available for the rural sports person through the college 10)College participated in the rallies and plus polio programmee conducted by local governing bodies.

IQAC Suggest the following Steps to college to improve the quality of the college Administration. The Meeting was presided over by the Principal Dr.Baig Akhter Mirza , IQAC members and Head of Department attended the meeting. The suggestion is as under: 1) IQAC Suggested arrange survey’s motivating student for Higher Education and Computer education. 2)Revision of NAAC committee and motivation to staff for preparing NAAC RAR. 3)IQAC suggested to upgrade the knowledge of staff regarding semester system and new syllabus implemented by the University with the help of internet. 4)Hamidiya Computer Institute instructed to arrange more computer awareness programmee and try for more admission. 5)Management and Principal should solve the problems of confirmation to the teaching members as per the university approval. 6)Carrier advancement scheme should be implemented and placement to higher grade who are eligible should be completed. 7)Arrange more department wise lecture, workshop, study tours or any innovative programmees to develop students personality. Each department should arrange at least two programmees in a year and submit the budget to the principal’s office. 8)Follow up of permanent affiliation, 2(f) and 12(b) recognition and P.G. Proposal recommended. 9)Strict action against irregularity, unpunctuality of teaching and non-teaching staff. 10)To develop a sense of research P.G. and U.G. students, teachers are instructed to encourage students for making projects and tutorial.

(1)Survey to create awareness for higher and computer education has been done time to time all through the year. (2)NAAC Committee has been revised and Preparation for RAR started. (3)Staff up gradation by providing adequate information regarding semester system And new syllabus by making available BSNL broad band internet service at the computer section. (4)Hamidiya Computer institute arrange computer awareness programmees near By schools and Junior colleges. (5)Approvals of the teaching staff has been cleared by the university and granted Confirm approvals to 12 teachers and on ad-hoc basis to 6 teachers. (6)Placement to higher grade from lecturer to senior grade, from senior to selection Grade has been cleared by the management, Govt. and the university. (7)Departments arrange more lecture series and educational tours after submitting Budget to the principal. (8)College got permanent affiliation and persuading for 2(f) & 12(b) recognition. (9)Strict action against late coming employee of the college. (10)Successful implementation of M.A. in Urdu, Marathi, History and Pol.Science. (11)To develop sense of research in U.G. and P.G. students, teachers collected Projects and tutorials on important topics related to curriculum.

The overall performance of the college is good and college is now moving in a positive direction towards quality sustenance. IQAC Suggest the following Steps to college to improve the quality of the college Administration. The Meeting was presided over by the Chairman of IQAC and Urdu Education Society, Aurangabad Mr.Shaikh Mohd.Ayyub , IQAC members and Head of Department attended the meeting with the Principal. The suggestion is as under: (1)New subjects at U.G. level such as Tourism and Management, Functional Hindi and job oriented short term courses. (2)New College building proposal will be finalized. (3)Bigger class room and smart board for students should be made available. (4)Improvements in the library infrastructure. (5)Play ground for Indoor and Outdoor for sports events. (6)Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls. (7)Wi-Fi internet connection to all the terminals. (8)Teachers should maintain its own Lap-Top with internet facilities for up gradation. (9)Amount of the library books must be increased in the annual budget. (10)Organize more programmees sponsored by University and UGC by each department. (11)Master software for office administration and computer section. (12)Preference should be given to near by rural and remote area students for admission. (13)Reminder and follow up of 2(f) and 12(b) proposal. (14)Inverter facilities to each section due to over load shedding of electricity in the area. (15)Admission procedure for P.G. should be systematized.

Time : 2:30pm Venue : Chishtiya College campus, Khuldabad Meeting held on 28th February 2011 and the IQAC members and head of the Department attended the meeting. Mr.Mohd Ayyub Chairman of IQAC presided over the meeting. The Committee observed the action plan of the college and suggestion implemented by the college according to the IQAC suggestion made on 15th June 2010. IQAC thus observed the following observation. (1)Proposal for new subject at UG level and job oriented short term courses is under consideration of the management. (2)Plan for new college building has been finalized. Construction will be started soon (3)Height of the existing class room has been increased and smart boards have made available. (4)The college is awaiting 2(f) & 12(b) recognition as soon as the college get recognized under these sections, college is going to forward the proposal for improvement in infrastructure, Play ground, Hostel facilities, conduction of seminars, and license software for major administrative sections to U.G.C. (5)Students from near by rural and remote area preferred for admission in UG & PG. (6)Teachers are encourage to work on lap-top and use internet facilities for upgradation. (7)Wi-Fi internet connection has been sanctioned by the management. implementation is awaited.

2.2 SUGGESTION OF PEER TEAM

1. The College to try to get permanent affiliation of the university and 2f status from UGC which is becoming a handicap for the academic growth of the College.

2. The College may first consolidate the existing curricula and then start new subjects with employment potential like computer application, library and information science, journalism and Mass communication, Business Administration, Public Administration, Tourism and Hotel Management , Music and Fine Arts, Translation and Functional Hindi etc. at undergraduate level and some certificate courses on interior decoration, Fashion Designing , Beauty Parlor and health Care for Women and Children etc.

3. The may think of starting post graduate courses in the subjects like Engli9sh Hindi Marathi Urdu History and Psychology.

4. The College should take steps to appoint more permanent Teachers.

5. The Library is the nerve center of an educational institution. This has to be greatly improved. More number of books, journals periodicals may be procured. Automation and computerization of the Library must follow. Reprographic and internet facilities be provided to the students.

6. The Management should develop a new College Campus with adequate Staff Room, Class Rooms, Laboratories, Library, workshop, Vocational Training Centre, Students Rest Room and other essential amenities.

7. Departmental Libraries be created with a view to provide access to teacher, students and others.

8. College should try to have its own playground and other sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games.

9. College may think of opening up of Language Lab.

10. Students and teachers should be encouraged to develop communication skill in English for adequate growth opportunities at National and International Level. 11. It is now high time that the College try to start undergraduate programme in Science.

12. The College should arrange hostel facility for the students specially for girls coming up from distant areas.

13. The introduction of Bridge and Remedial Courses in many subjects for educationally weak students is very urgent. Special up gradation courses for advanced learners be introduced.

14. Facilities for coaching classes may be provided to the student appearing for competitive examination like bank, police, central and state civil services etc.

15. The Alumni Association be established. And Alumni be persuaded to enable the students for their progression.

16. Mechanism to get feed back from students, Parents and other stakeholders.

ACTION PLAN ON PEER TEAM SUGGESTIONS FROM 2004 TO 2011.

1. College got permanent Affiliation of the University in the year 2010 and 2f and 12B Status of the UGC in the year 2011.

2. College started Short Term Courses in Communicative English , Library and Information Science, Anganwadi Course, Rural Journalism, Art of Living in 2005 - 06. College introduced new subjects such as Physical Education, Islamic Studies at undergraduate level in 2008-09 and 2009-2010 respectively. College also started YCMOU, Open University M.Phil (History) and B.A Courses in 2006- 07.

3. The started PG in Urdu, Marathi, History and Pol. Science from Academic Year 2009 – 2010.

4. The College Management and University approved the services of the Teachers according to their qualifications and placed them in higher position. The procedure started in 2006- 07 and completed in 2009- 10.

5. Library got its computer and library software in 2009 10.

6. Internet facility to Staff and Students made in 2009 -10 at the Computer Center.

7. Proposal for New Building is under consideration of the Management.

8. A temporary Playground has been developed at the Open Space of the College 2008 -09.

9. College got its Overhead Projector and a Dark Room for Presentation purposes for the Departments. Language Teachers also use it to develop communication skills.

10. Certificate Course in Communicative English has been started and Computer Center is used to develop the Communicative Skills in English. Teachers are encouraged to speak and write research papers in English.

11. Guidance Center for Competitive Exams under the Minority Commission has been proposed to Govt. of Maharashtra in 2009 -10.

12. Alumni Association established in the year 2005 -06 and regular meeting are arranged since then. 13. Feedback from students on teacher’s quality has been started from 2006-07 and proper instruction to the teachers has been provided to the teachers for improvement through IQAC.

14. IQAC was established in 2005 for Quality maintenance and sustenance.

15. College launched its website www.ccak.ac.in in the year 2009-10.

2.3 BEST PRACTICES IDENTIFIED BY IQAC

 As mentioned in the earlier AQAR the practice of Lectures visiting every year near by village and convincing the parents and students for higher education is still continued.  Send college Students as volunteers in the maintenance of Annual Gathering of Urs at Khuldabad Town. The students are also encouraged to volunteer in the Pulse Polio Drive of the Govt. Govt. Rallies on Literacy Mission and Health Awareness. Student’s irregularity at the school. This practice develops feeling of responsibility in the students and they get acquainted with the facts of life.  College provides free of cost, to schools and junior college s, it’s Recreational and Function Hall to arrange their functions and Competition due to lack of space in their buildings.  College arranges on-site visit to nearby farms and Brick makers and collect the data of their problems and life. Try to guide them with the help of experts.  College plays a wonderful host to the guests arrives suddenly at the eleventh hour with teamwork.  College creates awareness time to time in the society on Female Feticide and superstition through regular visits to adjoining slum areas.  Staff maintains regular monthly and daily teaching plan and 100 % implementing of the curriculum is carried out.  Regular evaluation of the students through Test, Tutorial and Projects is carried out.  Regular study Tours are arranged to widen the Students Knowledge.

Part A The Plan of action chalked out by the IQAC at the Beginning of the Academic year2006 towards Quality Enhancement and the outcome achieved by the end of the year 2011. I. Action Plan for the Academic Year Academic Planning 2006-07 to 2010-11

 To get permanent affiliation of college.  To get 2f & 12B recognition by the U.G.C.  To get 1993 effect of minority status to settle down the college grievances.  Appointment of more permanent teachers and Career Advancement.  To start the Professional Courses, Vocational Courses, Short Term, Diploma Certificate Courses with the help of University or other Govt. Organization & Non Govt. Organization.

4.2 Enhancement of Quality in the Institution for Academic Planning.

 A Concrete College Academic calendar is going to be prepared for 2006-07 with the help of all the Head of Department and discuss with the IQAC.  Teaching Plane in chalk out as per 180 day’s Teaching Schedule and even period schedule is verified and signed in the Authority.  Preparation of College Time Table 2006-07.  Farming of college’s Co-ordinating Committee 2006-07.  Test, Tutorial of all the department to conduct as per the schedule framed in the college calendar and the feedback mechanism is implementing.  Promoting or Re-designing of Co-ordinating activities of NSS, Adult continuing & Extension Education & upliftment of sports Activities.  From all the college Department their requirement and development and development planning is collected and considers the said planning for qualitative changes.  For upliftment for all the department academic Staff requirement Guidance for the Expert’s the institution arrange to get the guidance from UGC plans. II. Outcome achieved at the end of the academic year.  Permanent affiliation : 2009-10 The process to get Permanent affiliation to the college in under process college demanded affiliation as it went through the process of NAAC and Graded C++ ref. letter dt. 18.05.2005 ccak 2003-2004/3980.Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Replied by not sending affiliation committee for continuous three years but has to pay affiliation free every year. The University also suggested fulfilling other conditions required for permanent affiliation Ref.ccak/2004/27771-28001 dated. 23.12.2004. from the university to college. College got Permanent Affiliation in June 2010.

 2f &12B STATUS 2011-12: College fulfilled the condition required for registration under section 2F of the UGC letter no. ACAD/AFFIL/2003-04 dt.01.01.2003 and has been approved by the university through the above letter college corresponding Regular with UGC for including the Name under 2F section. The college has got recognition under 2f & 12B section of UGC dt. 31st May 2011.  Permanent Teachers & Career Advancement Programmes. College has in total 27 teaching & 09 Non teaching members, out of which the following are the Categories of teaching staff: 1. Permanent Basis : 12 2. Ad-hoc Basis : 09 3. C.H.B. Basis : 06 Out of 27 teaching Staff number of permanent Teachers has been increased to 21 under the Minority Status. 12 Teachers has been placed in higher grades, from lecturers to Senior Grade, Senior Grade to Selection Grade.  College shifted to own premises. College already submitted its Plan and Blue Print of New Building in itself Study Report. The construction of new building and shifting of college into its own premises is under construction of the Management. As soon as the decision is finalized the suggestions made by the Peer Team is compiled.  Professional Courses: College started 5 job oriented Short term courses under University’s adult Continuing and Extension Education Unit from June 2005. The Courses include. 1) Certificate Course in Communicative English. 2) Certificate Course in Library & information Science. 3) Certificate Course in Rural Journalism. 4) Certificate Course in Balwadi & Anganwadi Teacher. 5) Certificate Course in Arts of living. These courses received good response from the student’s college divinity add more such courses from next year i.e.2006-07 that will include a course in tourism management etc.  SAP. COSSIST DST FIST: MoUs with GOs & NGO’s. (Memorandum of understand with Government Organization & Non- Govt. Organization.) The college signed a MoUs with NGO Marathwada handicrafts Development Cultural Society under this MOUS college conducted two training programmee of one month each - carpet Weaving and Bidri work. College is ready to tie-up with more such NGO’s in future to provide to non conventional education to the students.  Faculty Development : 1. College is obtained permission to start Science Faculty. This faculty is going to introduce soon as adequate infrastructure is ready. 2. The Proposal for the Post Graduate M.A.degree course was pending with the Govt. College got the permission to start the M.A. degree Course in the subjects Urdu, Marathi, History and Political Science. The College started the following post graduate course in the college premises course from academic Year 2009-2010 are as under: Marathi,Urdu,History,and Pol.Science.  Present Position and process of IQAC Academic Planning: 2006-2007 to 2010 - 2011:

As directed in the Manual by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore and suggestion made by Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) Chairman and Head of the Institution. IQAC planning and monitoring the Academic Progress since 2003-2004. It is observed that IQAC is functioning successfully; IQAC is reframed for Academic Year 2005-2006 with improved guidelines by NAAC for the enhancement in the quality of education IQAC suggest and implemented a systematic programmee for the whole year 2005-2006. Academic Planning for the year 2006-2007 to 2010 – 11 by IQAC are described as below:  IQAC made improvement in Academic Calendar of the college from 2006-07 with systematic distribution of days for teaching, curricular activities and extra curricular activities.  Previously college use to encourage staff members to maintain their work load year- wise. Due to NAAC suggestion & IQAC’s Guidelines College started the trend of maintaining daily & weekly work load every individual. As per 180 days teaching planning every six week department conducted Test & Tutorial with the help of this. Test & Tutorial the teacher guide the Students, how to develop their skill of writing awareness and due to the compulsory practice automatically attendance is improved and the quality is reflecting on a 180 days teaching schedule Previously 96 periods and now 120 period are received for one paper to complete the syllabus.  With the help of IQAC College developed more systematic, clear and detailed Time-Table reflecting every detail of teaching schedule going on at college campus everyone can point out clearly who is teaching which paper and at what time, in which hall.  For better administration and lubricate working system IQAC suggested certain addition in the college Co-ordinating Committee from 2006-07. These Committees will help in effective administration of the college.  College encourages all the departments in maintaining their yearly Teaching Plan. Departmental Time-Table, Personal Time-Table and schedule for Departmental Test & Tutorials previously these acts were in use but it become more systematic & accurate due to NAAC.  For extra curricular activities Tentative Plans are chalk-out in the beginning of the year through NSS, Adult continuing and Extension Education Unit an all the departments to implement it later all through the year. These activities are included with academic activities for all round development of the student.  IQAC suggested college to take the benefit of different UGC Scheme, Minority grants, other facilities etc.  The suggestion of IQAC are as below:  Organized Seminar/Conference in the College Campus with the help of U.G.C. due to organization of seminars & Conference the exchange of knowledge and ideas an in-depth analysis of the subject as also for participants to become up to date in their respective subject areas.  IQAC Committee suggestive to the PhD holders go for further research utilized the schemes of financial support for Major and Minor Research Projects from U.G.C. Some of the lecture is approach for Research with the help of Inter Institutional Collaboration Research Centers. They forwarded their proposals to U.G.C. for necessary action.

Our mission is

“All round development of students leading towards a responsible citizen of India”

and all our activities are directed towards this mission . College besides trying to provide quality education to the pupils arranges programmes that will one or other way help to make pupil responsible citizen of India. Through IQAC suggestions, NSS activities and different associations such as Alumni and Students Council make available the situation and environment to achieve our Goals and objectives.

1) College has arranged a number of activities and encouraged Student to participate in rallies for social cause, Surveys based on social problems and such extension activities. This develops the personality of the students.

2) Through NSS Unit socially oriented programmes and lectures are organized from Time to Time (detailed list attached) to inculcate moral values into youth’s.

3) Teachers are encouraged to attend seminars Conferences and workshops. Teachers are also encouraged to go for Major & Minor Research projects. As a result teachers participation in seminar and other research activities has been increased comparatively in the post NAAC period. Details could be seemed ahead in the report. Proposal of “Sufi Research Centre” has been submitted to University. 4) For the development of all the languages, PG Courses in Two languages has been started from 2009-10. Test and tutorials made compulsory by the University has been implemented successfully. This develops the writing skill of the students. Short term courses in Communicative English has been started to develop the communication skill in English persistent efforts are on for the overall development of the languages. 5) College has provided computer facility and internet facility with increase in number of computers and overhead projector over the year. Importance of Electricity and load Shedding was introduced to the students and villagers.  14.11.2007 – Awareness programme in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar & Bhilwada slum Area about child labor as a crime. Thus celebrated ‘Children Day.’  1.12.2007 ‘World Aids Day’ was celebrated with the Aids Awareness lecture by Dr Shaikh Shakeel.  20.12.2007 – ‘Sant Gadge Baba cleanliness drive was carried out by cleaning the surrounding slum areas and Drainage lines.  Village Cleanliness with the help of villagers.  Literacy Mission.  “Vyasanmukti”, Dedication Awareness.  General Awareness.  Volunteers dug 70 Toilet holes to create awareness about Sanitation. Due to this activity the village become “Pananmukt Village” and got “Nirmal gram Award” by the State Govt.  Magic Show on Superstition: Shahji Bhosle.

Feedback practice from student of teachers was introduced in the post NAAC period in the year 2005-06. Action was also implemented on the feedback by IQAC. 24. Computerization of Administration and the process of admission and examination results,

Issue of certificates: From the year 2007-08 the university adopted on-line admission system. Hence it was mandatory for the colleges to adopt the system. Our college has 100% computerization of Administration and the process of admission and examination, results and issue of Certificates is carried out on-line. College has implemented successfully the computerization of administrative & Library Work.

25. Increase in the infrastructure facilities:

College has developed its infrastructure in the post NAAC period. The Details are below.

 Reading Room: 11.5 x 36=414 sqft.  Research Room: 10 x 11.5=115 sqft.  Open Reading Space: 20x12 =240 sqft.  Recreational Hall: 44x19 = sqft.  Staff Room (Ladies): 9.11x18 sqft.  N.S.S Room: 10x9= 90 sqft.  Store Room: 10.5x7.10 sqft.  Computer Room: 1) 12x14= 168 sqft. 2) 26x13 = 338 sqft. (Comp. Lab) Total = 506 sqft.  Height of Class Rooms 1.5 ft. increased

26. Technology up gradation:

 College has its upgraded website. i.e.www.ccak.ac.in college  Has also improved the configuration of the computers available in the college.  The number of computers has been increased to 15.  It also provided the facility of inverter for uninterrupted power supply. The area suffers with the load shading problem, hence the need of inverter.  Overhead Projector was added for presentation from 2009 – 10.  College also adopted BSNL broadband service for its online work. Soon it will start the Wi-Fi Connectivity

27. Computer and Internet access and training to Teachers and Students:

College runs a computer centre at its campus, which is an authorized learning centre of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd. Since 2001. The Centre provides short term courses in computers. Students and teachers are encouraged to gain computer proficiency. As a result 90% of the staff are computer literate and 100% of the college students gain computer training through the compulsory. The centre also gives opportunity to the students other than college to gain short term courses in computers. List of Teachers & Students gained training in computers is attached in Appendix. From the year 2009-10, BSNL Broadband facilities are also available to the staff and students for Research and necessary information through Hamidiya Computer Institute.

29. Activities and supports from Alumni Association Alumni Association was formed in the year 2005 – 06. Since then regular Alumni Association formed every year. Dr. Bagal S. S is the chairman of that committee. He maintains record of the Body and put before the IQAC the suggestion of the Alumni for the development of the college.

30. Support from the Parent – Teacher association and its activities No such association was formed till now. But the college remains in touch with the parents through home visits during their Village visiting committee and Inviting parents at various occasions to College and get their feedback on the Activities of the College informally. Those feedback were put in the meetings of IQAC for the improvements.

31. Health services

College maintains its own First Aid facility. College organized Health awareness and health checkup ( General and Dental) programmes through NSS. College also arranged Blood Donation Programme and Blood Group checking twice in the post NAAC.

35. Activities of the Guidance and Counseling Unit

A special Guidance and Councilling Committee has been nominated under College Coordinating Commiittees. This Committee makes itself available at the time mentioned in the college Time Table and guide the students for their doubts and problems. The students mainly needs guidance and counseling in the area of Competitive Exams and for further studies after their graduation. The committee also organizes time to time Community Awareness programmes as per our Academic Calender every year.

 As mentioned in the earlier AQAR the practice of Lectures visiting every year near by village and convincing the parents and students for higher education is still continued.  Send college Students as volunteers in the maintenance of Annual Gathering of Urs at Khuldabad Town. The students are also encouraged to volunteer in the Pulse Polio Drive of the Govt. Govt. Relies on Literacy Mission and Health Awareness. Student’s irregularity at the school. This practice develops feeling of responsibility in the students and they get acquainted with the facts of life.  College provides free of cost, to schools and junior college s, it’s Recreational and Function Hall to arrange their functions and Competition due to lack of space in their buildings.  College arranges on-site visit to nearby farms and Brick makers and collect the data of their problems and life. Try to guide them with the help of experts.  College plays a wonderful host to the guests arrives suddenly at the eleventh hour with teamwork.  College creates awareness time to time in the society on Female Feticide and superstition through regular visits to adjoining slum areas.  Staff maintains regular monthly and daily teaching plan and 100 % implementing of the curriculum is carried out.  Regular evaluation of the students through Test, Tutorial and Projects is carried out.  Regular study Tours are arranged to widen the Students Knowledge.

Introduction

Chishtiya College of Arts, Khuldabad running under a Minority Institution Urdu Education Society, is itself a recognized Minority institute. The College is dedicated to provide education to rural and hilly youths especially women. College, in thirst for quality, faced NAAC in the Feb 2004. Assessed by the NAAC Peer Team and graded C++. Though, grades were not according to expectation but College got a direction for maintaining and sustaining quality in higher education. College framed its IQAC way back in the year 2005 as per NAAC guidelines and designed its own website in the year 2009. College has submitted its two year i.e 2004 – 05, 2005 – 06 and now going to submit its AQAR for the years 2006 - 07 to 2010 – 11. During this procedure of designing and writing of AQAR, Management and Principal of the College played major role followed by IQAC and Staff of the College. College is now ready to face NAAC again for Reaccreditation with most of the criteria fulfilled. During this period College has achieved many milestones such as Permanent Affiliation, Appointment of more permanent Teachers, 2f and 12B recognition, more learner centered programmes and community services.

4.1 Suggestions by IQAC and Plan of Action for the next Academic Year

As suggested by IQAC and College Coordinating Committees and Management, the action plan for the coming Academic Years are as under: As College has got recognition under 2f and 12B of the UGC in the year 2011, the College planned the following activities in the coming years:

 Proposal for College Building and other benefits of UGC Schemes.  Organize UGC sponsored Seminars and Workshops.  Organize new collaboration research programmes.  Encourage more teachers to go for major and minor research projects.  Go for COSIST SAP DST, FST Assistance/Recognition.  Develop linkages with National/International, Academic/ Research Bodies.  Proposal of ‘Sufi Research Study Center’ has been sent to Govt. of Maharashtra. Waiting for approval.  Establish Competitive Guidance Center under minority status and guide students for interviews.  Start short term courses under Women Empowerment Center such as Fashion Designing, interior designing, beauty parlor Course , small scale industry training in Papad, Pickles and Vermicelli Making, book Binding Training, Mahila Bachat Gat to develop self reliance in surrounding girl students and women.  Physical Training to students going for PSI, Army, SRP,BSF and many such Competitive Exams under Sports Dept.  Separate Language Laboratory and Audio Video Center.  History Museum under History Dept.  Home Science and Geography Laboratory improvement.  Special Efforts for Fast Learners to make mark in University merit list.  Special Efforts for Slow learners to improve passing percentage.  Planning to go for ISO Certification.

4.2 Conclusion

On behalf of College Management , Principal and IQAC College is submitting the Annual Quality Assurance Report for the years 2006-07 to 2010 -11 jointly. Due to some technical reasons College was unable to provide AQARs after 2005 – 06. But the journey towards quality was in progress continuously. And it has been reflected in the AQAR of 2006-07 to 2010-11. The College NAAC Steering Committee pays deepest gratitude to the Management for their every possible co operation, to the Principal for the amount of time he spent with the team. The Committee thanks the IQAC for their timely and valuable suggestion every year in the improvement and sustenance of quality in the College. NAAC Committee also thanks the Teaching and Non- Teaching Staff for their endless efforts for providing required amount of data for NAAC Reports. This AQAR is thus the effort of all the stakeholders including students, alumni and parents who are directly and indirectly involved in the making of this Report.
