Add an email account on Microsoft Mail on Windows 8.1 To add an email account to your device, you must have an email address and password from your email service provider. Select Show more details Step 10 Enter all the details needed as in the example. Ensure the Incoming (IMAP) email server’s Port is 143 and the Outgoing (SMTP) email server’s Port is 25.
