Vicky Davis, a member of the Downey Unified family for nearly 25 years, was visited by the Downey and South Gate Police Departments who work in partnership with the Pink Patch Project. Mrs. Davis, a breast cancer survivor, has partnered with the Pink Patch Project for the last four years to raise funds for breast cancer.

The Pink Patch Project originated in LA County in 2013 and has expanded to several hundred partner agencies throughout the world and includes partners from police, sheriff, fire, EMS and federal departments worldwide.

Donating to one of the nation’s largest and most effective cancer centers, the City of Hope, the Pink Patch Project raised over $350,000 last year for breast cancer research and treatment.
