About Medicine

Nebraska Medicine has had a longstanding affiliation with the University of Nebraska Medical Center dating back to the 1930s when Clarkson attendees served as university faculty members. Today, the hospital is UNMC’s primary clinical partner, providing UNMC students with invaluable educational experiences as they rotate through the hospital for their clinical, clerkship or fellowship experiences.

UNMC is Nebraska’s only public academic health science center and serves as ’s education and research partner. UNMC faculty, many of whom provide clinical care at Nebraska Medicine, educate a 21st century workforce, provide award-winning outreach to communities across the state, and conduct basic, clinical and translational research that transforms lives.
