I did not provide any information with respect to this

The New York Daily News and I don't know of anybody who did.
I was not aware of many of the details which were

That was in September of 1984 and in July of 1986 I became Deputy Assistant Director here. I had not met CAPECI until he sent me a book he had written regarding JOHN GOTTI. That would have been some time in 1988 as near as I recall andlwas sent to me solely by virtue of my position in the office at that time either as Assistant Director or Deputy Assistant Director. Subsequently he was in the office for reasons I do not recall and I asked him to endorse it for me. That was the first time I met him. I had virtually no contact with him until a year later, at the time of the killing of a DEA Agent in New York. My contact with him on that occasion was professional and I therefore agreed to talk with him after that time. I have done so by telephone two or three times when he has called me. Additionally I have seen him a few times in person at various law enforcement functions. My dealings with him have always been of a professional nature as opposed to social one.
