They sing the songs and play upon flute. 31st October - La castanyada In Catalonia every autumn, we celebrate a traditional holiday named “LA CASTANYADA”( = The chesnut Day). A long time ago, on 31st October night, families gathered together by the fireplace and told dead people stories, because the All Saints‟ Eve. In this celebration we cook a kind of sweet little cakes (PANELLETS) and toast chesnuts and sweet potatoes. In our school we participate in a Panellets workshop, autumn crafts, and afternoon festival with dances and songs. There are others schools that also cook chesnuts. This is our PANELLETS RECIPE. Ingredients: 1 kg almond flour 1 kg (or 900gr) sugar. 200 gr boiled potatoe (with the skin). -

Julia Kostsova GALLERY ON FIFTH Naples, Florida Julia Kostsova RUSSIAN TRADITIONS Exhibition dedicated to 400 anniversairy of Romanov's Dynasty Russian Traditions Russia is indeed a unique country, which, along with highly developed modern culture carefully preserves the national traditions deeply rooted not only in the Orthodox religion but also in paganism. The Russians still celebrate pagan holidays, many people believe in numerous omens and legends. Christianity gave Russians such great holidays as Easter and Christmas, and Paganism - Maslenitsa and Ivan Kupala. Old traditions are passed on from generation to generation. Easter Easter is the day of the resurrection of Christ. The holiday came to Russia from Byzantium together with Russia's christening in the end of the 10th century. Since then, this Christian holiday has been widely celebrated all over Russia. Christmas Christmas is the holiday of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, whose advent gave people hope for mercy, kindness, truth and eternal life. The Orthodox Church observes Christmas according to the Julian Calendar, on January 7, while Western churches celebrate it on December 25, in accordance with the Gregorian Calendar. Ivan Kupala Even in the time of the ancient pagan deity Ancient Russians used to have Kupalo, the God of summer fertility. In his honor people of sang songs and jumped over the bonfire. This ritual act has become an annual celebration of summer solstice, combining a pagan and Christian traditions. Kupala got the name Ivan after the baptizing of Russia, when he was replaced by John the Baptist (the way he was percepted by common people), who baptized Christ and whose birthday was celebrated on 24 June. -

Nationality Issue in Proletkult Activities in Ukraine

GOMENIUK Ph.D. (Pedagogics), Pavlo TYchyna Uman State Pedagogical UniversitY, UKRAINE ABSTRACT The article highlights the social and political conditions under which the proletarian educational organizations of the 1920s functioned in the context of nationalitY issue, namelY the study of political frameworks determining the status of the Ukrainian language and culture in Ukraine. The nationalitY issue became crucial in Proletkult activities – a proletarian cultural, educational and literary organization in the structure of People's Commissariat, the aim of which was a broad and comprehensive development of the proletarian culture created by the working class. Unlike Russia, Proletkult’s organizations in Ukraine were not significantlY spread and ceased to exist due to the fact that the national language and culture were not taken into account and the contact with the peasants and indigenous people of non-proletarian origin was limited. FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM IN GENERAL AND ITS CONNECTION WITH IMPORTANT SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL TASKS ContemporarY social transformations require detailed, critical reinterpreting the experiences of previous generations. In his work “Lectures” Hegel wrote that experience and history taught that peoples and governments had never learnt from history and did not act in accordance with the lessons that historY could give. The objective study of Russian-Ukrainian relations require special attention that will help to clarify the reasons for misunderstandings in historical context, to consider them in establishing intercommunication and ensuring peace in the geopolitical space. -

It is also recognized that Eastern European literatures drew much attention of Chinese intellectuals in their quest for national identity and modernization. This thesis is aimed at providing a more detailed look at the Chinese-Slavic literary discourse of the 1920’s, focusing on Russian literature as a recognized literary “authority” of the time, and Ukrainian literature as an example of a literature of an oppressed nation, which went under both Russian and Eastern European “labels” at the time. -

The importance of information and communication technologies in this type of educational activity is determined. There are three levels of students’ information and communication activities depending on the development of the students’ information competence and the involvement of information and communication technologies as the main and auxiliary resources for writing a course paper. Adaptive, productive and creative levels of information and communication activities are highlighted. The type of the above- mentioned student actively engages various online platforms for surveys, classifications and processing of the source base of research, etc. It is stressed that information resources are mostly used at the preparatory stage and less in the final one. The primary task of this kit is to sand and finish the fife. Sanding the inside of the bore is the most difficult job, so we have included a dowel and some self-adhesive sandpaper to make it easier for you. Peel the wax paper backing off the two pieces of sandpaper and wrap one around each end of the wooden dowel. One scrap is 100 grit (coarser) and the other is 180 grit (finer). _____2. Use the coarser end of the dowel to sand the bare wood inside the bore, moving the dowel back and forth in the direction of the grain (lengthwise). Blow out the sawdust now and then. Switch to the finer sandpaper at the other end of the dowel when you think the coarse paper has done its job. The smoother the bore, the easier it will be to play your fife. _____3. Test the brass ferrules to see if they slide over the ends of the fife. If not, carefully sand the ends of the fife until the brass fits easily all the way to the shoulder of the wood. _____4. Decorate the fife as desired. You may do some painting, wood-burning, lettering, carving and/or staining to suit your tastes. This is a fun project to customize. I think the instrument looks best when stained a deep reddish-brown color.
