Travel with Jan By Carol Dois Woodward on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 Carol was the recipient of some belated birthday gifts from Jan last week. Included was the nostalgic birthday card which evoked memories of their road trip to Virginia Beach in November for the District Conference. Jan, Carol, and Brian were the coordinators of the House of Friendship (HOF) at the District Conference. Jan and Carol traveled together and shared a room at the magnificant hotel and had many fun and surprising experiences along the way. In packing the car for the return there was a deep discussion about how to load/pack the car with all of the assorted paraphanelia needed for the HOF. That triggered some distant memories for Carol of some of the old "I Love Lucy" episodes of them traveling across country in an Air Stream trailer. You more seasoned folk may remember those episodes. Anyway, maybe that gives some back story as to why the birthday card is so charming to Carol. Remember this is an all hands (and feet) on deck for this event, 9-12 on June 5 at JEJ Moore Sports Complex. More will be published soon about the tasks for which we need volunteers.
