Natural Parks included in the Metropolitan area are able to provide ecosystem services and resources such as agricultural and forest products as well as biomass resources that could be an opportunity to replace fossil fuels, make the city more climate friendly and, at the same time, to relaunch the sustainable management of forest that are often abandoned and prone to degradation risk. The goal of this paper is to investigate and update the actual distribution of the main forest types of the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park, through GIS and Remote Sensing techniques, in order to assess the biomass potential present in the forest areas. Results showed that there are about 20,000 t of woody biomass per year available and confirmed the importance of Sentinel-2 satellite data for vegetation applications, reaching a high overall accuracy. -

We are therefore tempted to believe the nationalist rhetoric that accompanied many urban projects of the early 20th century. Taking the example of Marcello Piacentini, the most successful architect in Italy during the dictatorship of Mussolini, the article traces how international trends in civic design and urban planning affected the architect’s work. The article aims to show that architectural and urban form cannot be taken as genuinely national – whether or not it may be called “Italian” or “fascist”. Concepts and forms underwent a versatile transformation in history, were adapted to specific needs and changed their meaning according to the new context. The challenge is to understand why certain forms are chosen in a specific case and how they were used to create displays that offer new modes of interpretation. How to get Rome from the “Leonardo Da Vinci” Fiumicino Airport The main airport Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) is located about 26 km from the city centre. The centre of city is easily reached: FROM AND TO FIUMICINO AIRPORT BY TRAIN At the airport’s railway station the Shuttle-Train Leonardo Express direct service (without calling at other stations) takes just 31 minutes to get to Termini Station (intersecting with the Metro Lines A & B) and leaves every half hour from 6.36 a.m. to 11.36 p.m. FROM AND TO FIUMICINO BY TAXI Taxis licensed by Rome City Council are white and have a sign bearing the word “TAXI” on their roofs and by the identifying licence number on the doors, on the back and inside the car. The symbol of the Rome City Council is clearly visible on the front doors and the license inside the back left. Other vehicles waiting on exiting the airport may well be driven by unauthorized persons and the fare could therefore be a great deal higher. Taxis for Rome are found at the exits of both the domestic and international arrival terminals. BUS REGULATIONS PAYMENT The bus service is payable in full and in advance for the semester and regardless of the number of times the student(s) will utilize the service during the semester. Partial use of the bus service is not allowed, except under special circumstances approved by the Director of Operations. For organizational reasons, the only bus service options are ROUND TRIP; MORNING ONLY or AFTERNOON ONLY; LATE BUS ONLY 1 Only students for whom AOSR has a signed parental authorization form on file are permitted to ride the school bus. The form is requested for all students under the age of 14. STUDENT BEHAVIOR Students are expected to follow bus rules at all times when riding school buses. The following is a list of bus regulations. If these are not followed, the bus driver/monitor will report the offense to the bus coordinator. Parents will be notified of the offending behavior and students will be suspended from riding the bus, at first temporarily, and if necessary, permanently. ● Students must follow the directions of the bus driver/monitor in a respectful manner. ● All students are required to wear their seat belts. ● Only one student per seat and students must remain seated at all times. ● Students must not put their arms, hands, or heads out of the windows. ● Loud talking, swearing, rough play, or fighting is forbidden. ● Smoking is not allowed at any time. ● Riders must refrain from any action that would distract the driver and pose a safety problem for all on the bus. This includes gestures, making loud noises, the use of electronic devices, and inviting attention from pedestrians and motorists. -

Therefore, plant species richness in urban environments is a variable of considerable interest to landscape planners and conservation biologists. While all monitoring activities have a spatial context to a varying degree, monitoring of urban plant species richness distribution requires an objective method for de®ning the boundaries of areas that are species rich or poor compared to their surroundings. By aggregating the cells of tessellated numerical surface variables into hierarchically related topological entities, the echelon approach provides a new way to objectively characterize the structure of spatial data bases and is thus appropriate for monitoring environmental indices such as urban plant species richness.
